She's so cute! So was she your first choice in the end? Key actually wasn't my first choice based on the photos I saw of the litter, I had wanted the wolf grey, but he was already taken. So I chose the only black in the litter and I'm so happy I did! He also has heterochromia in his left eye, it's partly blue which means that eye reflects red from a camera flash while the fully amber brown eye reflects green or blue.

Eleanor is adorable, for sure. I love her coat color. One of my huskies had heterochomia too. I was really hoping you'd get another rescue. I have always been sweet on Oakley over the years because I was a husky mom to 2 rescues--1 which had some "issues." I know they're extra work, but so worth it. We, like Jess & Jamie, went above & beyond to make our dog's remaining years the best they ever had. All pets need love, but I think rescues need an extra measure, whether it be because of health issues, or mistreatment. By watching GTTSD all these years, one thing I can say without question is that Jess & Jamie LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their dogs. So I know that they have what a rescue dog needs to thrive & live the life that they deserve. While I love all of the girls, and look forward to watching Eleanor grow up, if I get to vote for the next addition to the pack, it would definitely be a rescue.

My son & I fell in love with the agoutae color when we visited Ann Palmer to get our Husky, Storm. He looks so much like Memphis. He is 2 years younger than Memphis & from the same Father. I believe that things happen for a reason and that is how everything came together for Eleanor to join your family. She is a PERFECT fit not only for you and Jamey, but for Kira and Memphis (Belle, I LOVE that!) as well. On a side note, a good friend of mine had a Husky back in the 1980’s named Czar, and he had a blue eye and a brown eye, so I knew that was not uncommon for Huskies. Czar looked a lot like Kira and had an awesome personality. Very easy going and affectionate. My friend was, and still is, a drummer. In fact, he played for Hall & Oates for over 3 years. Anyway, Czar would lay right in front of the double bass drums while my friend practiced. He just loved doing that for some reason! To this day, we still talk about Czar, he was just the best!
When I first saw Eleanor I knew she would have orange or yellow as her color because either of those colors would be perfect for her coat color. Awesome to hear Eleanor's full story and so glad to keep seeing her become a perfect addition to your pack.

Funny that you mentioned the name Ellie as a small dog name. In September of 2021 some close friends of ours decided to start breeding Pomskies and my wife fell head over heels for one of the girls in the litter and we named her Ellie Mae. We also love your collar choice for Eleanor, we had a Chocolate Lab mix who passed from old age back in Feb of 2020 that wore the exact same collar. Saw your video you were so close when you picked up Eleanor I live 45 minutes away from Toledo I was from Toledo when my parents moved us from Toledo we live in Elmore Ohio out in the country about 5 mins from our little town but still in Elmore I watched your videos all the time though the years love watching them on TH-cam and Facebook and you live in Michigan which is also close and the places you travel with the dogs are so beautiful up there love it and the fact you guys love camping my family has a camper too we go camping too every year except we stay put we camp at a Christian campground and we put our camper their all year long it’s fun we love it out their we make lots of friends over their we also do operation Christmas Child aka samaritans purse we pack shoeboxes for third world countries kids who are very very poor and when they receive a shoebox they also get to hear Gods word and get saved yes we have lots of fun again love watching your videos you guys always make me happy when I see your videos

My vet recommends to wait to spay/ neuter until at least 2. But he time a dog is 2 you know for sure all the growth plates are closed and they got the benefits of the hormones that come with being intact. I love Eleanor! She’s very cute! Sable/ agouti is my favorite color to see on a husky (even though I’ll probably never own one lol)

We have our Norwegian Elkhound, Attaroa. Being an elkhound she has a very similar coat to Eleanor. Her color is also orange and I can 100% agree, orange looks beautiful with this kind of coat.

The breeder who bred Eleanor’s dad, bred my two huskies, and hoping to get a third very soon. Also I saw baby pictures of El with her sibling’s and fell in love immediately, her colors are beautiful and those eyes! ❤️❤️
