HI guys, your playlist on distributors is invaluable, well all your videos are ready. I have a question with regard to the distributor side entry cap and how the coil leads are connected to it. All Doris's existing leads seems to joined along the leads with screw In-line suppressors (pointed screws) before connecting to the spark plugs who that have been normal think to be done. I have yet to venture near the distributor but would like to change the leads over the winter. Thanks again and keep work the great work.
@@frankmorris2870 Hi Frank, The simple answer is that you normally purchase a length of cable and then you cut them to length. The 4 spark plug HT leads are then pushed into their corresponding places on the distributor cap and pierced by the securing screws. The more difficult one is the coil lead, which has a particular end to it. As we are in the midst of distributor videos, we'll do one on that and put it out - just need some daylight!
@@BlindManMorris Daylight and good weather hopefully. Thanks guys I look forward to it. by the way, the web site is fantastic, I would definitely recommend it too any body that has any bit of interest in Morris Minor's or vintage cars in general to have a google of it as its well worth it, along with the rest of your videos there on TH-cam
