    Sandro, you probably feel your detailing videos get repetitive but your fans can't wait to watch you do your magic.

    I love this type of video. Less tutorial and more telling a story and showing off one of your jobs from start to finish. No need to do a tutorial in every video due to your plethora of amazing how-to's in your video history. Great job.

    Hey Sandro, I love the way you go about setting customer expectations and your morals and work ethic overall. It’s something I can very much relate to in my industry as well. Have been a follower for a long time. Thank you for all the videos you’ve done and all the time you’ve put in for us, it really helps to keep my passion for detailing alive. You are an incredible dude. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

    Sandro what an outstanding example on how to detail a second hand car. When it comes to age Geting old is inevitable but growing up is optional. When it comes to cars we never seem to grow up. Its amazing how quickly detailing becomes more than a job and turns it to a passion. Plus the pursuit of knowledge to become a better detailer. Theres nothing better than seeing the customers face when they see the finished result. It makes all the blood sweat and tears worth it. Keep the great videos coming In sandro we trust

      I like that mate “getting old is inevitable, growing up is optional” - very true, just like we work on cars and other things, we also have to work on ourselves and hopefully the aging will bring wisdom with it! Thanks as always mate!

    Gm mate, I am a born petrolhead. I am always awestruck by your attention to detail, professionality, final product & video editing skills & commentary. It culminates to the "gold standard" of car detailing/auto valet. Especially bearing in mind unlike Yankees who generally exaggerate products or processes to promote their sponsors.
    All us colonials seem to have grown up in a totally different world compared to our cousins over the Pacific/Atlantic. Your content is a testament to that legacy. Moreover, you are ab artiste above all. Cheets from Auckland.

    I trust you because you detail based on results and what works, not chasing or hawking the latest products that manufacturers send to promote. So many other detail channels chase the products to make $$ off commissions. They are basically infomercials disguised as a “how to detail” video. While I’m sure you make $$ in various ways from your productions and product links, you don’t hype the latest products as if they are the best ever. Thank you for being a GENUINE space in an otherwise promotion-disguised world, which I find to be dishonest and one giant commercial.

      Nice to hear that and my pleasure.
      The wash stage steps were:
      The wheel cleaning
      The engine bay cleaning
      Pre-foam & rinse over exterior
      Hand wash & rinse
      Brush out trims & rinse
      Chemically/mechanically treat/clay,rinse
      Towel & blow dry
      The vehicle was then single stage polished including all the paint, gloss/clear trims & glass.
      Then each area was given an IPA wipe before applying the ceramic coatings in this order:
      Wheels
      Engine bay
      Glass
      Paint & trims.

    Brilliant work as usual. My daughter owned the dark grey F-Sport version of that car in a 2019 model, with the same wheels - so I have detailed that exact car. I'm glad you called DeScale "acid-leaning" because I measured it as 4.5 pH although CarPro says it's 6.0 - either way it's on the acid side, while some people call it neutral. Those grilles are a PAIN! Where did you get those little foam attachments you used for behind the door handle? CQ on top of DQ - interesting - haven't seen anyone else do that yet. Owner got his money's worth! Great video as usual - video production was top notch.

      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks mate and yes, every Lexus Grill is a bit of a pain to clean well haha
      That’s interesting that Carpro claims Descale is almost neutral at 6 on the scale, but 4.5 isn’t anything crazy, it’s still far less than lemon juice and vinegar.
      The attachment used for the door handle wells is part on the kit with the Shine Mate Eb210 polisher.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately you can’t - that chrome like finish found on many newer cars is in my experience a very thin platting/coating tint and any attempt to correct/polish will most likely remove it and ruin the finish.

      If the decades have a gloss finish you can polish over them, if they have a matte finish you can either mask them with tape or use mini/nano polishers and pads to polish around them.

    Hi Sandro!
    Love your videos, they are very professional and also realistic.
    1 question i got for you,
    After applying ceramic coating on a car, should the coating thickness increase? compared to the before readings.
    Thank you

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks, really nice to hear that!
      Typically a good ceramic coating will usually add 2-3 microns, so it’s realistically not something you’re going see as an increase in the paint’s measurement being that car paint isn’t all that consistent and already varies quite a bit in thickness from section to section.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve done and shown tar removal in many past videos - the reason I wouldn’t use a tar remover in many cases is because it’s simply not required, there has to be specific contamination I’m trying to remove, otherwise I won’t just use it needlessly.

    Amazing work as always! I have to echo what equestrianwhiskey said-you’ve been a big inspiration for me in my work.
    Do you find that the clay towel leaves behind more marring on gloss black trims, just because of how sensitive they tend to be? Or do you even worry about that because of the polishing stage that follows?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Really nice to hear that mate!
      Yes, clay marring is alway more significant on softer clears and the piano black almost always tend to have the most sensitive clears. It’s not a real concern as although clay marring is quite visible and wide spread it’s also very light depth wise, so it comes out super easy.

      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks and the masking tape was Kamoi Kabuki and the masking plastic was the Uni-Pro Uni-mask roll - but most masking tapes and plastic sheeting will be fine. The areas to mask are any exposed electrical connectors you see, battery terminals, the alternator and air intake opening.

    A very "satisfying" video as always. Btw, how is the smell of Purify compared to, say, Carpro IronX?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing

      Thanks, and both Nv Purify and Purge are two of the least offensive smelling products with iron removal chemistry - way better than Iron-x in that area 🙂

    Whats the advantage of going with Dquartz for the wheels over Dlux?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Through my own testing I’ve found that most pro coatings I use do tend to last longer than the consumer based ones in general. Dlux is still fantastic for wheels but I’d expect DQPRO to out last it.

    Fantastic job Sandro!!!! As always ;-)
    I do have one question! Did you apply only one layer of Dquartz Pro and one layer of Cquartz Pro?
    CarPro recommends aplying two layers of Dquartz and one layer of Cquartz Pro as topping....

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks mate and yes it was 1 layer of each, I’ve done loads of first hand testing to confirm it works extremely well, have additionally had this comb on a high mileage daily for about a year now and it’s exceeding expectations. You can absolutely do 2+1, 3+1, 2+2, etc .. but after any 2 layers you only start gaining mild advantages so you also need to make a cost vs time vs reward assessment - you can make that choice with your client.

    Dear Sentric, please can I ask? In general what is the structure of your detailing packages, and what they include....an average?
    One more question,On a situation like this, you agreed at start for step correction package, inspite you achieved what maybe 2 steps could also achieve.
    So the general packages, prising, are are based on time spented, results what is the general thought behind.
    And what level of paint correction did you offered the older days you was Mobile? Thanks a lit. Again Great video

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      These days I don’t really have structured packages, I tend to just chat with my clients and listen to what they want to achieve, offer them options based on their wants and an inspection, estimate the time it will take me, charging accordingly for that time/labour. Within that time frame I will pursue the best result I can regardless of whether it meets or surpasses what I agreed to deliver. In my mobile detailing days I did have more structured packages, but also didn’t tend to do higher end work, it was more simple basic and honest work and also more affordable.

    Hey Sandro, someone applied detailing product on my steering wheel and its been extremely slippery which is dangerous because sometimes it slipped out of my hand, it's been like this for about a year and don't know what to do. How do I get rid of the slipperiness and make it normal or mildly sticky again?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s really uncommon for any interior dressing/protectant to last that long especially on a steering wheel where it tends to wear off first - could be an exterior solvent based dressing.
      An interior APC/cleaner (like Carpro Inside or Multi-X diluted) should remove it, if it’s a leather you have to be more careful and gentle as not to damage it - but a solvent dressing on for that long on leather may have compromised it.

    Amazing job as always Sandro, do you purchase majority of your products online and get them delivered? I am wanting to start a new detailing business in WA and take huge inspiration from your videos, I would love to know how/where you purchase your products as a business owner

      Thanks mate, and these days I do get most of my products from Waxit (here’s a link just in case you’re not familiar with them) www.waxit.com.au/?ref=1NNwBEgP4yO4AX
      as they are the distributors for Carpro, Nv, Scholl, Shine Mate and most of the brands and gear I tend to use and I use to get orders delivered but I mostly get it from their warehouse now - they do also have click and collect. You can setup a trade account and get substantial discounts if you have a registered business and also apply for certification if you wish to use pro level CQuartz & Nv coatings, and I also teach detailing classes there - hope that helps mate and wish you the very best with your business!

    I have to say that new car prices are out of control and are rip offs. I’m in nz and a good example is if you want a new golf gti it is $77,000! There isn’t much new tech and is same engine but new revision (my 2011 gti brand new fully loaded was $46,000!)

    That car is not like new it's a higher grade, Sandro NEW. Having a 2020 myself I'm glad to see I have decent clear coat thickness. Curious, what do you recommend for protection on the soft rubber weatherstripping at the top of the grill where it meets the hood and at the bottom of the doors? Thank you, great job.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks mate, nice to hear that.
      I’ve found that water based protectants tend to leave those rubbers in the best condition, something like Perl or 303 Aerospace used every couple of months could be a great way to go. Just be sure to work it in well and a little generously, allow it to sit for a good 30-60mins so the rubber can take in as much of it as possible, and then gently level off any excess.
