You are always talking down that GSXR yet it keeps exceeding your expectations. I really think you need to bring in a Royal Enfield Himalayan for a comparison. Never ridden either one personally but from this video I think it would be an entertaining comparison.

I bought my lil baby gixxer in 2018 and almost OVER 9000 miles later of constant ABUSE AND REDLINING! She still cranks up and Runs perfect every single time! it may not be the fastest bike out there but Its definitely the most fun ive ever had in a little bike!

What is the best bike? The one that gets you home again!
I have a 2018 DrZ SM as well. I have a full FMF Q4 exhaust which I recommend, but also I'd change the headlight to a Baja Designs headlight not that weak Cyclops headlight. Get some Heidenau K73 super moto tires, maybe some racetech springs front an rear. I'd watch the how to on those videos. I have a race tech rear, just need the fronts.
I didn't know I needed this series, but after this first episode I can't wait to see what's next. I have actually been contemplating getting a brand new Svartpilen 401 or buying a used dual sport or supermoto like a DRZ-400 or XR650r and fixing it up. Hopefully we will get more of these kinds of series in the future (maybe even involving a turbo-busa).
For the DRZ, you should do the 3x3 air box &mod and re jet the carb. It opens it up a lot.

There is literally a $2,200 Suzuki Bandit 600s for sale without a front headlight with some mess in the wiring in the front, and a small dent in the gas tank.. not sure if I should get it! It seems like a great deal though :)

it's not even that the drz is old, it's always just been underpowered which also added to the durability. 2 stroke 125ccs can more or less keep up with it.

I live in Germany and jus bought a 2004 SV 650 s for 2.500€ with 12500 KM so interested I just looked up listings for the DRZ400 SM here in Germany and they are way over 4.000€ even with above 35000 KM
Yeah, sad thing there isn't really a dual sport marked in Germany. Honda CRF 250L is also way too expensive. And try find a decent KLR ...

I'm pretty sure he put a Lectron on the DRZ. I don't know how well they perform, but I've heard they're super easy to live with.
try a gsxr 250 from 90 and see the huge difference in power compared to the new one. the new one i boring compared to an old one

I bought a new gsx250r abs a week ago and it was 5k flat out the door with all the fees, taxes, title/ registration and same day delivery all included, they are giving them away lol
I just bought one for $3665 OTD total. And 9% was sales tax with a 399 doc fee. Brand new Red 2020. Just a bit better than a Grom! Lol

I don't know how Suzuki made the Gsxr 250cc sooo bad. I have 2 Gsxrs, 1 of them is 2020 1000cc and obviously it's a Rocket, and the other one is 2018 125cc and for a 125cc its very very good, i bet its the fastest 125cc you can buy. But the 250cc is just a flop!!
