Thank you very much sir , today i fixed my peugeot 206 indicator (Dav Comm 2000) after watching your DIY video. It was a little tricky to remove the Indicator Switch from comm body but i did it with patience. Now it is like a new!!!! SO MANY THANKS!!!!!
Just done this job on a 307 with the assistance of this vid. Easy to miss that when removing the actual switch stalk, that the pathetic wiring for it must be freed from it's two little guide hooks,, to avoid straining it when the stalk suddenly comes out of the main assembly. Good video, thanks. Alternative methodology for repetitious Peugeot/Citroen problems of this type involves paraffin and matches..
i did this and the cable has just pulled right out of the indicator stalk...anyone know how to open the stalk itself so i can plug the cable back in please?
@@bibana06 It was the final straw for me, the car had other issues too so i scraped it. I did think of cutting the stalk down it's length and then glueing it togther again. It's a bad design imho.
@@ncmarkham Honestly, I was in a total state of rage After that and about to do the same. Great video, gives me confidence to tackle my Comm 2000 on my 406 Coupe but problem with windscreen washer not working after checking pump and fuse I think due to switch problem
Sorry I missed the last part of your comment or I would have replied sooner. In my experience the only place I have found a problem with the washer is at the pump itself, the connector to the pump or the wiring to the pump. I would disconnect the pump and see if there is 12v at the connectors then put 12v across the terminals to see if the pump runs. Share your experience and let everyone know how you get on. Good luck.
Great video but note that on reassembly of the switchgear the terminals for the airbag will go to the wrong side of the little short circuit tabs unless they are pushed over as the cover goes on. Probably easier to take them out and replace them. if nothing is done the connectors will not go in properly and certainly won't connect!
iv got the same problem on my 307 (floppy). a new comms unit is the best part of £200 nfw. just found the part you replace on ebay by chance so im going to give it a go, fingers cross that it will work. thanks for the vid.
Thanks so much for this. Sorted the problems with indicators on my 206. A few bits of it are quite fiddly, I think I struggled with the same bits as you!
Thanks, I've spent hours on the problem. When the pump stopped working 6 months ago I checked the fuse which was OK so immediately jumped to the conclusion it was the pump so bought a new one without checking it and the old pump turned out to be OK. I checked the supply voltage at the pump terminals with somebody holding the stalk and it showed 4V but since then it shows zero voltage. The wiring is very difficult to work out since I goes into a very thick harness. I read up on forums that it could be a bad connection in the Comm 2000 but have doubts since when you pull the stalk the wipers sweep 4 or 5 times as they should so presume the contact is being made unless there are 2 separate contacts which was why I planned to open the unit and check. I'll certainly update what I discover but it won't be until next month since I'm working away at the moment.
I would be inclined to check the wiring connectivity first. There are too many variations in the wiring diagrams. If you let me know the build code (the number on the drivers door pillar). Some have a relay in the engine compartment fuse box and some use the BSI under the main fuse box. You need to know what one you have

Can you help me. I accidentally rotated the clock spring thing and now when I turn my steering wheel there is some rubbing noises like two plastic parts rubbing in each other. I'm not exactly sure if that is the reason for this noise, but I also almost opened the clock spring, before finding this video, because I wasn't sure how to open the dav comm. Great tutorial anyway! Thanks!
I dont think rotating the clock spring would cause any issues. You can rotate it to the end of its play and back the other way. If memory serves me it is 9 full revolutions end to end. The important thing is it is returned to the middle 4.5 revolutions, assuming the steering started off straight. Does the comm unit make the noise off the car or is it only when on the car. Wire routing. Horn contacts. seem the most likely candidates. Unless there are any broken plastic bits when taking it off or back on.

What type of grease did you use ?
What is the black called that you changed, please?
This has been covered in previous question answers.

I dismantled mine and now the sprinklers turn on and also I get airbag fault.
I got airbag fault to. did you find out what caused it? my full beams use to come straight on but after bit of time adjusting the four mental tags, on the end indicator, managed to fix it :) maybe you got the same problem n that the mental tag is connecting to the circuit board with being told. :)
