- Rickey Medlocke is a longtime member of the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd and has been inducted into the Native American Music Hall Of Fame. He was also an original member of Blackfoot, another band that has given us great music with great success over the years. Rickey has a new single out with The Rickey Medlocke Band, it’s called “Never Run Out Of Road,” and it carries with it a very important message.
In this interview, Rickey tells us all about the song and the message. he details how it all came together, and if we might get more music from The Rickey Medlocke Band. Rickey also talks about writing a book of stories from his life and career, his tattoos, and if we might get another album of original music from Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I can still remember buying my first, "Blackfoot," record which was, "Strikes." Walked in the store, saw the cover looked at the back and noticed it was on Atco records. That was the selling point for me since I had never heard of them. A fan ever since!!!
Me too always ❤

Doesn’t get any cooler than Rickey. Such a pleasure to speak with him and hear him laugh! Thanks very much for watching!😊
Great as he is, Ricky is not not in RR H of Fame
This subject really is a misconception for so many outlets. Half say he’s in and half say he’s not. You apparently are correct, and I am very sorry for contributing to the misinformation. I do try to fact check everything, and I had two sources that had incorrect information.
Thank you very much for reaching out and helping to correct this. It’s very much appreciated.
It is a shame that he was not included, especially since he was involved in the very early development of the band.
