Jeff Sessions accent is a combination of his genetic makeup of Keebler Elf and Reptilian humanoid.

Go back and listen to some George Wallace speeches (Southeast Alabama). The same old style non-rhotic accent. Its a beautiful accent to listen to!

The Presidents quasi Queens-Brough-New York accent can be offensive to the ears of some sections of the country.

That's the accent of my father's people (Clarke county) and my original accent. Mother's people (Marshall county) have the hard mountain R (Gov. Bob Riley).
When I started school I was made to take speech classes. I still remember the sentence well, "Wobewt had a wed woostew".
Kathryn Tucker Windham was another with this vanishing accent.

David - I find this very interesting - I am from Pa and my family was Pennsylvania Dutch (German) and had a specific accent, word usage and sentence structure that is slowly disappearing - "Throw mama from the train a kiss" - I know in the early 1900s Brooklyn it has been said you could tell what specific neighborhood someone was from by their Jewish accent - I also find it interesting when I watch Scotish programs on British TV - I know they are speaking English but I can't understand what they are saying - Language is amazing and precious - It is all we have to express our thoughts, ideas, and feelings - Young people have lost the use of descriptive adjectives and rely on just a few to express themselves - Jeff does sound like a caricature of a southerner good-old-boy - He is a colorful speaker

I dont get the "aspirational " part of it . He came from a well to do family so he used less "r"... well okay then.
