    Absolument ! This is exactly what a visitor needs if they have the good sense to allocate a sufficient amount of time to visit Paris. The Metro is great to get to a predetermined destination but Walking is the only way to get a real feeling for the city, just like a local who would know all/most of these little Gems.

      There are little gems all around Paris, happily !

    Your video tours are fantastic, you offer your viewers a very special and unique perspective of Paris, I enjoy them all! Thank you!
    I lived in Paris for many years and have gone back countless times and each time I discover new neighborhoods and unique places. Last September the highlight of my trip was
    1) walking from the 7th to Île aux Cygnes to the backstreets of Musée de l'homme/Trocadéro
    2) spending a rainy day in the Musée de Montmartre's jardin
    3) visiting the Musée Carnavalet, Bibliothèque Forney's courtyard/exhibits, Jardins des Archives Nationales, and Maison Européenne de la Photographie
    4) and the Coulée Verte!

    Loved this. We were in Paris for a week just last week, and this was the first spot we visited. (and we hadn't even seen this delightful video yet!) But we are New Yorkers and love the High Line, so we wanted to see its inspiration. Another great non-touristy neighborhood we visited was Butte-aux-Cailles.

    I can't love this enough! I saw a snippet of footage of La Coulée Verte on another video and knew that I need to experience it. Thank you so much for a full length video about it. I plan on walking out and back and then having a cocktail and lunch at Brasserie Rosie afterwards.

    I love this and would love to see more- the more obscure, the better. Especially if it involves places where "The Lost Generation" or the crowd that frequented Shakespeare and Company or La Maison des Amis des Livres.

    • @paristoptips
      @paristoptips  ปีที่แล้ว

      Following Gertrude Stein and Hemingway would mean making a video on bars!😁 Why not? Talking about Shakespeare and Company, they say on their window that photos are forbidden, I doubt they'd like me filming there😐

    A shame that accessibility isn’t a priority, perhaps with the Paralympics in Paris next year this will change, hopefully!

    Thank you so much for this! I have known about the Coulée Verte for some time, but it was wonderful to see it like this. If it sounds interesting to you I would love to see a collection of unexpected views of the Eiffel Tower. There are places all over Paris with beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower that tourists never get to see. And I would love a video on the Pont de Bir Hakeim, although I am sure I will enjoy what ever you decide to shoot. Thank you again.

    Bonjour! Thank you for your incredible work, I'm in love with these thoughtful videos, it is exactly like I used to explore a new city, total gem. I have only one wish, if it is possible not to ignore playground for kids, because it is really helpful to plan a walk. I understand that there is privacy concerns and it is tricky. But there are so many exclusively designed playgrounds in Paris

    • @paristoptips
      @paristoptips  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. In fact, I'd love to show more playgrounds, but nowadays, people are very sensitive over filming kids, so I kinda avoid doing this...

    In which district (arrondisment) is the coulee verte located?

    • @paristoptips

      In the 12th, near Bastille

  • @aleksandarbrzic8351

    Paintings are nice but the graffiti are not... At least not as horrible as Lisbon... By the way, it would have been useful to name some cafes, patisseries etc at the beginning and at the end, always handy after a long walk :)

    • @paristoptips
      @paristoptips  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, you are right!
      Well, at the end, there's nothing really interesting. But then , opposite the street where the Coulée Verte starts, there is a very nice créperie called "Au beurre salé", 55 avenue Ledru-Rollin.
