    Viva,
Not sure what I think of your quest. Spent his life imbedded with government troops and intelligence operators.
Micheal claims to have a love for physics and such as well as photography.
I really wanted you to ask, "Speed is a function of what two components?"
    Why?
Because you ask, how fast the bullet was going .
Most people familiar with weapons will tell you it was around 32-3300 ft per second at the barrel.
And Micheal gave the correct ballistics answer, too many unknown variables.
But you had a picture right.
What do you know from the picture regarding time?
The entire frame was captured in 1/8000 of a second.
    That's the time component.
How long is the trace because it collapses almost instantly so what we see is essentially the path the bullet traveled over the time the shutter was open.
Use any known object as a reference for measurement and you will get a somewhat accurate bullet speed.
Once we have the rifle, ammo and distance values they should compare almost exactly to ballistic charts for the measurement obtained from the picture.
That said, this seems obvious and elementary but if, IF the shutter speed is not accurate or true, the math won't work.
However, if the math doesn't work for the known shooter and bullet, it may be evidence of another shooter.
Measuring actual trajectory would require much more precise information but it may be possible.
Comparing trajectory and speed to the known location might prove or disprove where the bullet came from.
Unfortunately this does seem like the photographer wanted a live HD recording of Trump's head exploding in a mist.
Both demoralizing and absolutely fracturing to the country.
Far too many coincidences to be coincidence.
Throwing a party without anyone coming, doesn't work. Having a shooter with real security, doesn't work.
Both the shooter and the opportunity need to arrive at the same door, same party and that is just too random for chance.
Add in the pre readied story about Iran, Haley being suddenly pro Trump, and a week later credit cards go down?
Time to get where you want to be Viva, things like this go off in moments and the world changes.
The man isn't wrong to doubt things but Trump doing this to himself ?
If a picture of a bullet passing next to Trump's head isn't enough, what is ?
Well I don't trust anything either and this guy raised my eyebrow.
Anyway if any internet sleuths want to do the measurements and calculations they can find ballistic charts online and get bullet drop, velocity loss over distance. See if the math works for 3000ft/sec over 400+/- feet.
Or it may prove the picture was planted to create confusion just for this reason. Just some thoughts

    For anyone questioning the angle:
There are six steps up to the platform, 6-7 feet.
Donald Trump is 6'3" tall. He was wearing shoes.
The point of impact was 12-13' above ground level.
The shooter was 14-16' above ground level, according to reports and estimates based on photos.
Shooter was 120-130 meters (~130-140 yards) away, also estimated.
Assuming the ground level was close to the same, and i don't know. I saw one picture that suggested the building might be a foot or two lower, comparatively.
The angle of the shot is estimated at 0.5°.
Seems reasonable. Feel free to check my numbers or let us know what you find.

There's a sound specialist whose used a few unedited videos from folks who took them from different places around the rally during the shooting, and he compared the bullet sounds. He's proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, there were at least 2 shooters involved in this. Obviously, this kid was used as a Patsy, He was MK ULTRA-ED. It explains why his parents were calling the Police looking for him when he "went to the range" with his dad's gun... Both parents are Psychologists, and Democrat. The kid was also Democrat, but registered Republican to vote against Trump during the primaries. The parents probably met the "New Friends" and thought something was very suspicious.
This sound comparison of the bullets is amazingly well done. I would encourage people to look at Benny Johnson's shortened repost of the bullet proof. Once you've seen\heard it, you won't be able to unsee or unhear it. PLEASE remember the term "Conspiracy Theorists" was invented by the CIA in the 1960's, to stop people from asking questions about the JFK shooting. This terminology has been used for decades to destroy people like Alex Jones.
Trump would never "stage" this, especially knowing people would be killed. Sadly, this guy's got TDS.

Shooting wide open at 1.6 (which he's prioritizing for portraiture as an aesthetic choice) which he's able to do because of the Alpha 1 camera's great tracking autofocus, means you're setting exposure with the shutter speed. 1/8000 is necessary shooting wide open because of the volume of light coming in on a bright day. This image captured is only possible with the 30fps burst mode available on these mirrorless cameras.
I'd be more suspicious of high shutter speed with a deeper depth of field which would point to wanting to capture larger area in focus and keep high shutter speed. Would need a high ISO for that.
His settings check out given the shooting conditions and his aesthetic choice of shooting wide open.

(Mrs. Mark) In the interview of the man who caught the tracer shot, he seemed to be saying that he didn't go to the high shutter speed setting until after he heard the first popping sounds ("Once I heard the pops...I held down on the shutter as hard as I could"), and I could be wrong but it seemed like the shot that hit President Trump's ear was connected to the first popping sounds. So, would it still make sense? I am not challenging you; I am just asking because that confuses me.

    • @EugeneSeidel

@@mdievend If I understand correctly, the high shutter speed setting kicks in automatically once he presses and holds that particular button? Still would require lightning-quick reflexes on the photog's part, but maybe as a seasoned pro he can be that fast without taking time to think. Perhaps this was the second or third bullet ... the first three bullet sounds were spaced farther apart.

Viva is so funny when he has a guest on. His A.D.D. kicks in hardcore and he has to constantly look down at the chat or whatever the heck he's looking at and seems to really struggle listening to the guest and take in what's being said. Actually drives me nuts because it makes it hard for me to listen to the guest but I still love Viva and he's one of my favorite content creators because he's hilarious, intelligent, and extremely honest and forthright. And Michael Yan is just an American hero and all around bad ass. Had no idea about the guy he beat to death when Michael was only 19 but I'm glad he didn't go down for that. Self defense is something that we can never allow to be eliminated as a legal defense because it seems like more and more these corrupt, partisan prosecutors are trying to eliminate it. It's like they believe you should just stand there while your being violently assaulted and if you dare to defend yourself they'll try to lock you up and throw away the key.

I lost hearing in one of my ears, for awhile, from a gun shot right by my ear. The hearing came back, but it caused some permanent damage and I can no longer hear the lower level sounds.

The photographer didn't say what mode he was shooting at. But I'd hazard to guess it was in aperture priority (AP) mode. So ISO set to lowest (50 for that camera) due to sunny outdoors conditions, aperture to wide open (F1.6) and quite possibly even stepped down exposure compensation by anything from a third to a full F stop to avoid blowing out the highlights. All this (bar the ISO setting) translate in AP mode to higher and higher automatically set shutter speed. Nothing mysterious about it.

I think that's the point. It does get to be too much after a while. Very few people have lives like that. But that's okay! We also have our tasks to accomplish in life, even if they're not wild and exciting like what he does.

I'm lucky in that I'm old enough to have nightly seen on the evening news, works such as Yon has done. It's been years since, with the exception of precious few, real journalism by fearless journalists has taken place. What we have today is some guy/female standing in a safe space telling us what others tell them as they've seen nothing first hand

If he wanted to take photo's with the aperture almost wide open and was already on 50 iso which is the lowest sensitivity it is quite possible that he had the camera on aperture priority and it would decide the appropriate speed. 8000th of a second is the fastest the camera can go, so he had to stop down from 1.4 to 1.6 or the camera would have shown an overexposed error. Could just be the result of wanting to use a fast lens almost wide open on a bright day? I mostly use Aperture priority because the depth of field is more important than shutter speed in most photos.

The extra media can be explained. Many may have expected an early announcement or appearance of Vice Presidental announcement ! As we know President Trump likes to do those kinds of things ! I hope to God we haven’t stooped to the depth of inviting a photographer to an assassination plot, GOD IS AMONG US. Michael Yon has a lot of knowledge and should go into politics because he redirected all your questions. He wasn’t there for your thumbnail obviously

How would those pictures be worth tens of millions in royalty if they could not have been published anywhere uncensored? Also "You can make a video out of 30 still frames in 10-15 minutes on the computer" was the most "boomer" thing I've heard in a while.

What was photographed wasn't cavitation, but the actual bullet. Elongated because of the speed it was traveling. If what was recorded was cavitation, it would be semi transparent. With doing nature photography I likened it to being a military sniper want the WWII and Korean War vets BBQed me until someone yelled out, "Shut up, he's right!"
They wanted to know who the hell he was and said, "I am a military sniper!" What blew my mind was he followed me out and let me know what I was doing was harder then what he had to do.
I had only one question for him, "Any kills you regret?"
"Nope, all had to be done."
As he waked away, I yelled, "The only difference between us is mirage helps you out and fucks up my shots!" He laughed and gave the thumbs up." I called the the navy recruiter and he decided to be a dick so I decided not to join as he wanted me to take the test so he could decide where I could belong. I wanted to go into the Naval School of Photography, and knowing that was at least a year in a half wait, the notion of, "Mission specific photography," went completely over his head. I figured since my father was there listening, would get yelled at, but Dad agreed with me and the way that recruiter was, broke his heart to! When the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra asked various veterans to stand up at their July 4th celebration, Dad would grab me by my neck and make me stand up to.
