(Spoiler) The same happened in Megaman Maverick Hunter X but in a mandatory way. On the Vile's Story Mode, the final boss (X & Zero), you are forced to beat Zero first, then X unleash his "limitless potential" they speak of in the story and proceeds to attack with fully charged attacks.
It would have been better (and probably harder) if other armors of X were rendered into 32-Bit, with X swapping with different armors instead of special weapons.

Once you know the pattern that you should take in order to avoid damage, then attack. Remember It's trial and error. You'll die countess of times. Don't be discouraged. I feel like adding this but it's kinda likely irrelevant. I used to speedrun X1 and X3, sooo my skill level is quite high. And also this is quite relevant, actually. I play a lot of fighting games, although I'm not good at them, I'm very good at picking up patterns and weaknesses. Still, don't be discouraged and give it a try. Happy gaming!

I have just finished the 2 challenge mode in easy in legacy collection 1 and 2. How do we unlock the ??? in the story menu ? When we are on the main menu of X challenge, we have "Story" to the right. The first thing in story is "introduction" and the second thing is a "???". Its probably a cutscene we have to unlock. But how ? Does someone know ?
I bought the first MegaMan Legacy Collection because "hey, cool, all these games and I don't have to switch cartidges/CD's" But this new dual boss mechanic is reason enough BY ITSELF to get this game, I'd have bought a game that was nothing but dual boss battles; the fact that you get to play all the MMX games is just sweet, sweet icing on this amazing cake.
Can i use any fire weapon against any ice tipe boss? For example, can i use a x4 fire power in chill penguim and it will still have the same effect as the x1 weapon, or it is just THAT weapon to weaken THAT boss and nothing else?

In the battle with Spak Mandril and Rainy Turtloid, you can use ice burst on Turtloid instead of the normal weapon. And with Metal Sharkplayer you can use Meteor Rain on him and with Storm Eagle you can use Sting Shot. With Dynamo you were using the right weapon on him, but sudden you changed weapon there was no need to do that. If you stayed with the same weapon you could have take him down faster. But at least with Gate you already knew only his own attack can damage him. Because another video similar to yours the player continue attacking Gate but not destroying the orbs itself. And also the best way to destroy the orbs is using the saber instead of the buster is easier and faster.
maybe the reward that you get is a medal; in the menu of the game, there are some kind of achievements named medals similar to the trophies in ps4/xbox1
I thought that the final bosses will be a collection of all Sigmas forms... Like defeat one and other appear during the fight... but for my surprise, a Fight against Ultimate Armor X (who change his armor constantly) And Awakend Zero (who change into Black Zero) is a good challenge... Withouth the correctlys weapons... Well is going to be really dificult...
I remember that the bosses were easy to fight once you figure out their patterns. Even a child can figure it out! The boss team-ups in these challenges show just how effective they can be if paired up with another. For example, Metal Shark Player's attacks become harder to dodge when Storm Eagle's wind attacks put you off balance! Also, Spark Mandrill's ability to use attacks that skirt the screen's edges compliment Rainy Turtloid's missile barrages or collison attacks, ensuring that there's little room to dodge.
Red Evil this is what you unlock under the story mode I read that the "???" Is "Final battle" and when you enter in the final battle you play this battle against ultimate armor x and awakened zero
You just unlock the cutscene that plays before the final fight. You don't get the replay the fight itself unless you go through the final stage again (It doesn't even appear in practice mode).

I read that the "???" Is "Final battle" and when you enter in the final battle you play this battle against ultimate armor x and awakened zero
You just unlock the cutscene that plays before the final fight. You don't get the replay the fight itself unless you go through the final stage again (It doesn't even appear in practice mode).
thanks I asked this because there is a guy who has posted videos of other battles with other bosses and they do not have any of those bosses in challenger mode
and I asked this since it's the only thing I did not do and finish hard mode
and there is one more option below the story with three questions and I want to know what and if it is not so then can only be dlc the channel that I see the videos is called maverick hunter x

I expected when You beat final hardstage You face nightmare zero, awakened zero and copy zero from x2. But ultimate x and awakenedzero is a good combo too
