Srinjoy Banerjee I have done that as well. We had our curing lights tested by a 3M rep using a spectrometer from blue light analytics. The test was free! The report gave us a ton of useful information. One of the things it told us was when the curing light would start cooking the pulp. For many of our curing lights it was around 8 seconds. For some of the newer ones, it is even faster!
@@TheComprehensiveDentist I usually use bluephase from ivoclar for curing composite resins. But you'll get some cheap Chinese ones which has a curing time of 40-60s. I forgot to mention that I use those old ones for this. But I'll keep it in mind that high intensity ones can harm the pulp
By definition a crown fracture goes beyond the enamel. A chipped tooth could be an enamel only fracture or it could be a crown fracture. A chipped tooth is the laymen term.
