Stu, please start your own goggle company and sell them for those that want to join the hobby! Current brands are poison to the hobby, sport and most importantly the fun. They prevent this hobby from growing.
I consider you the unofficial ambassador of fpv. I wouldn’t be shocked if you started your own company down the line. Fpv goggles is the best place to start. It’s because of your videos that I got into the hobby and learned how they work, how they are soldered and put together, that gave me the confidence to make my own. You should profit from selling your own goggles, but don’t rip us off and sell them for ten times their worth like fatshark is doing.

FlyNasty FPV I went through the reviews and got HD3's. GetFPV had a deal that included a Fatshark Oled Rx. I already pre-ordered the laforge v4 though.

Awesome review, I was looking exactly for something like this to get started on FPV racing.
I am slowly getting into fpv, I purchased the furibee vr01 goggles during a flash sale.. I've since bought 2 batteries with just connectors that will not turn em on.... When I say slowly... The goggles were my first buy. I don't even have a quad yet. But my dm002 should be here next week. Been watching uavfutures for about 3 months now, I really enjoy the energy you put into your videos. It's great watching someone who loves their job. Congratulations on retiring from being a teacher so you can chase your passion.
can you compare it to the eachine ev 100?
I say the ev600 is the way to go... and mod them with a dvr, fan, bigger battery or whatevs
EV100's are absolutely perfect entry level goggles. Stu has reviewed them and there is nothing wrong with them. Perfectly flyable goggle. So far I've got out to 300 metres with no problems.

I’m on a budget and can’t afford an expensive frame/goggles. I’ve got a $99 build sorting in a shoe box... waiting only for some goggles (refusing to use box goggles).
This may be what I need to get in the air before making a commitment to a more expensive pair?!

Luke Holland Me personally I voiced my opinion, but your asking for real advice. I'm new to the hobby in the last few months, but I fly around people that have knowledge. I wouldn't buy these, might be a good looking deal, but product description is lacking when some eachine ev box's actually will stated true diversity. For $88 I'd take the risk on some ev100 before these. I can at least say for $100 you get the feel of a teleporter v5 with antenna diversity which is better that the v5. But I've own 5 pairs of goggles an wish someone would have told me save up an do it right. Vison is everything in fpv...I own fatshark dominator v3 with a furious module and LOVE them...should have saved up an bought some fatsharks,skyzones,aomways in the beginning...best of look, happy flying

I’ve been looking at the EV800’s.
I can’t seem to bring myself to buy box goggles as my first pair. I feel like they will be too heavy/bulky.
I’ve never flown anything FPV, only ever LOS with DJI gear, so I also don’t want the large commitment of a top 3 (top 2 most likely) goggle without any prior experience.
... seems as though I’m destined for box goggles for now though 😝

These goggles would help me a lot because I recently bought a fpv backpack the really cheap one you recommended in one of your older vids. These goggles would be perfect for me because they are so compact and have so many nice features. Thanks for your awesome content.
As always great review, can't believe how far the hobby has come for entry level goggles since back when i got my fatshark teleporter v3's. It'll be great to see where the hobby will go from here.
Are they better than the EV800D?
I don't see how they are better. True diversity there is very questionable for this price and form factor, you can't use them as stand out screen and you can't watch movies on them too :D

Which is the stock res on high end headset googles, its lower on the lesser models often by half.
If you have a Headplay or a Goggles two yeah i would watch the odd movie maybe ...... But no one is dense enough to watch movies on a 800x600 screen son ... LMFAO

Laughing without cause is symptom of stupidity. Watch people use them as tv screen perfectly fine and comfortable
Why such a negative strong reaction to watching movies on box goggles? I've done it on my EV800s and image is fantastic. I have a TH-cam video about it if you think the idea is so ridicuous.

I'm pretty sure any screen marketed with a 960x240 res is just marketing BS specifying each RGB subpixel independently. Sometimes also written as "320xRGB" x 240... So in other words this goggle has just quarter-VGA resolution of 320x240.
I wonder if the goofy resolution is the result of having to split the image between both eyes? Maybe it's two lcd's side by side that they are calling one large one? As you say, likely some marketing BS.
Yes you could be right that in this instance it is two 480x240 screens and they thought 960x240 sounded better. Actually upon further tought that would make more sense as the goggle is marketed for having dual displays.
The worst thing is not the half of frame missing, but that overall picture have awfully low resolution. These screens are good only to catch invisible branches. Why not 854x480? Or at least 640x480?

ev800 or the ev800d are much better for the $ tho
i dont understand all this hype about fpv goggles with such form factor. After countless review i understand image in all of them is very tiny and sometime blurry on the edges. Without fan it fogs very fast because of little space between lenses and eyes. My ev800d serve me best and even i bought them for comparable price i will not change my mind now
I use quanum cyclops V2 and I hate them , they squeeze my nose by pack 2 it's really uncomfortable so I look for goggle style replacement
@@Allamut2909 Lighter googles are much comfortable and doesn't want to fall of from your head. I have/had both EV800 and EV800D - picture is pretty good, receiving too (especially for EV800D). However because of main weight dangling far ahead from face I had to improvise to avoid googles falling off.

I love waking up to see what video you have released, just getting into drone flying and currently building a Mavic clone but not decided on FPV or line of sight yet, these goggles would let me get into FPV and also help me with my overall desire to film me and the guys from work when we go off-roading

These look extremely complete. I cant wait to start building my drone. My plan is to get a Transmitter and sim but then move to goggles to that training. These goggles will be a big step for me to get started with building my setup.

Hello I'm new to the hobby and am starting from scratch here. The goggles would help me tremendously since my budget is near zero. Been scraping used parts and repairing to get off the ground.

I would use this goggles to update the quanum v1 that I was using up to 2 days ago when the receiver burned up... I would really appreciate this product and it would be at the same time really usefull.

Your videos are amazing and are a huge help Stu! As of right now I'm on a tight budget being a working college student and have been flying with the old Marvel TX box goggles for some time now. I've been looking for some new goggles that have the all the neat gadgets like true diversity and a DVR and had my sights set on the Eachine ev100s from your review but the SJ-RG01 looks like it will be the perfect goggles for an an entry level pilot like me.

I've watched that 100$ build so many times but I can't buy it cause I don't have credit card (I'm 14 yrs old)... And my parents won't get it for me since they think I'll break it while building it... These goggles would help me get deeper into the hobby. I already own a quad but no fpv equipment. I have been waiting to buy some, but price compared to quality is not feasible for me.
