Just found this video (almost 1 year later) and love the visual comparisons by category! Visualizing all this info instead of having to listen to hours of audio or reading about it saves so much time, & TIME IS 💰so THANK YOU big time!
Am catching this vid 10 months later, but it's just as relevant as the day you released it. What you've done here is assess the intangibles beyond the standard specs (weight, balance, swingweight, flex, and string pattern). These soooo affect a frame's playability. And yet, no one's captured them in a comparison, let alone one that ranks so many racquets. I can't imagine how long it took to do this, but the product is positively amazing; a tool I'll absolutely reference into the future...
When you mentioned the Dunlop CX 200 I got so happy. I am in love with that racket and I even added lead tape to the head. Using that racket landed me an ambassadorship with Dunlop. It is just an amazing feeling racket. Having Toroline Wasabi in it also gives me the extra edge I love!
This has to be one of the best tennis channels for racquet reviews and in general, you are very Authentic, something that feels right away, you allow yourself to be vulnerable with us which requires a lot of balls, and that is something. Keep doing videos they are great, your recommendation served me a lot in this, thanks! P.D. Congratulations on the tennis warehouse partnership.
Beckett! Excellent job! Would happy to see same thing for 100inches. 98 is something like for higher lvl players, 100 is people's choice (higher begginers, low-to-mid level of intremidietes).
As an intermediate/club player, I think cosmetics are a huge part of a decision. Youre gonna see the racket every time you hit the ball, and I personally like to fire me up watching how gorgeous and agressive my paintwork looks as I enter the court and play. Obv thats purely subjective, but I think Radical MP its outstanding among the others (I love my Radical MP), and that makes me want to fit my game to the racket, and improve with the feedback i get from it. With that being said, if youre an amateur player, follow your heart, tennis its a beautiful game to enjoy and to feel good about yourself. Love
Lmao as a french i’m laughing so hard at your « c’est le goat » at the end. As in french « goat » is translated as « chèvre » wich is used to say that someone/something really bad Great content as always by the way
Auxetic Extreme Tour. Checks every box for me. Arm comfort. Spin. Control. Good on both the forehand and one handed backhand. Bottom line is that I enjoy playing it with more than any other racket and feel confident hitting a wide variety of shots with it. I also play well with the Pure Aero VS and 98 but eventually got won over by the softer feel of the Auxetic ET. My tennis elbow has all but disappeared since switching to it.
I'm gonna playtest the MP version of it , is this the one you use? I start to have a lot of pain in the neck / shoulder with my current pro staff. Tried the radical MP and much better with my arm and better forehand forgiveness. But the slice BH and one handed BH were HORRIBLE with this one compare to my PS97.... i hope the extreme will be better in this departemnt...
@@synhet84 I use the Tour, not the MP. I prefer the 98 inch head size. Plus, the Tour has a lower RF rating than the MP, which should mean it's a little more arm friendly. I tested the Radical Pro and seemed to be arm friendly as well.
Yeah The Extreme Tour is a very unique racket. Power and stability provided but ist a light and whippy racket. Not high SW and mass. Add spin and control and feel. And you can further customize it. Add lead and it will become a Rublev power monster racket😂
Congratulations for the channel! Amazing! Plans for do a 100,s version of this video? I understand the difficulties. Much wider range, from the beginner to the advanced player. I love the format. The categories and the distribution of rackets within those categories. The rational of each category. I think this format is a true innovation on tennis equipment analysis. Many thanks!
It's funny how I went from one extreme to the other. Played with Pure Strikes 16x19 for a few generations and loved it for my backhand but could never consistently hit my forehands with the same speed and precision. Then ended up getting severe tennis elbow with the rackets and switched to the Blade 98 V8 18x20 and have not looked back.
@@TennCom The problem I've got is, though my forehand and serves are hitting with a lot more power, I'm still struggling to get the same depth and power that I had with my backhand when I was using the Pure Strike. I can barely play a set now with those without starting to feel my tennis elbow creep in. I think part of it may be psychological as well as generally I feel I can't generate as much power with the Blades, just more control.
@@robalbertsI've never actually tried gut. Not quite versed in strings tbh, have only used Solinco HyperG, Wilson Sensations and currently Alupower Big Banger.
your channel is the most funnest of all the tennis channels. I'm happy that you are getting great opportunities. TW is my favorite. Such a fabulous company. Congrats!! ❤
I used the aero all throughout high school, stopped playing for a couple years competitively and now am getting back into it, however as it’s gone on I tried the new aero and the ezone for me blew it out of the water. The feel was just much more than what I got from the pure aero and my strokes were much more clean as well. Still waiting to demo the 18x20 Solinco whiteout though!
I was super surprised by how good the FX 500 tour felt. Whippy and powerful. The folks at Tennis Giant threw it into the mix. Dunlop is super underrated. Anyone else here give it a go?
I'd love to see a similar comparison with 100in head racquets, would be cool to see if the brands/models "line up" between the 98 and the 100 segments where they make both (like the ezone)
Nice list man and great video! Your overall is pretty spot on, I’d probs put the shift somewhere above the middle, but I haven’t tried the tfight. There’s also the Iga to consider.
went through a lot of these however ended up with pure drive vs. if you ignore the reviews, which mainly complain about where it sits in babolat line, and give it a go you’ll find a great racket. good pop, spin, stability and looks pretty cool. feels fine to me and do not find stiff at all.
Blade 16x19 last, lol.. This is the most ready to go racket for high level players.. I play with it with extra weight in the grip.. Have been kicking ass as a 5.5, cant believe i would get insanely better with s pure aero or whatever.. I think personalising ur favorite racket and strings is more important..
Wow love this video! Thanks for the detailed breakdown and for explaining things in layman’s terms on top of the technical terms. I am confused as to why you put the ezone very low on both power rankings (on- and off-centre) given that it’s considered a power racket
To me, swingweight dominates the "power" experience and twistweight dominates the "forgiveness" experience. The EZONE has a lower swingweight and twistweight so its actual power deliver isn't that high compared to something heavier. The string pattern is also quite dead feeling to me due to how tight it is. IMO the EZONE is more of a modern control racquet, despite Yonex's marketing of it being in the power class.
@@TennCom thanks for replying. Interesting. In your experience, how does its power compare to other modern control racquet, say like a head gravity? I don’t know what you mean by modern control but I’m assuming it’s like head gravity that gives both control and power (“controlled power”). As opposed to pro staff or yonex percept, which are classic control racquets that give less power/depth
The Pure Strikes should be up at top 3. Its the ones that plays closest to a Regna but that you can buy in retail to a fair price. It must be your laid back not so much attacking style that makes you dump it low.
Great video. Congrats! Let me ask you something: today I play with a ezone 100. I need to put more control in my shots. I tried Vcore 98 and blade 98 16x19. I have a backhand one hand, and need more control, but i wouldn’t lose some power. Which racket could you recommend to me? Thanks.
Well thought out and informative informatin; i changed from a Babolat Pure drive plus to a Head boom Pro with some extra lead tape at the 10/2 mark. The more i play with it the more i am comfortable with it and my tennis elbow seems to like it better. I am also stringing with Technifibre softw multi or Head Velocity MLT. I find that hitting with my one hander backend is fine with the Boom Pro especially on topspin but i agree that a slice backhand floats. But frankly i still miss my Babolat PD+
Happy New Year! Have you reviewed Angell tennis racquets from the UK? They seem to be a small boutique tennis brand that offers quality and custom specs.
Happy new year! I have never had the pleasure of trying an Angell, though its been something I've wanted to take a look at for several years. Hopefully one day soon.
Hi there Beckett Congratulations on your Tennis Warehouse sponsorship! Great job, NO IDEA how you pulled that number off. Tennis Warehouse is one mighty big fish. Well done boads well for many more interesting tennis videos. Need your opinion on an important question. It will sound innocuous perhaps even superfluous but stick with me please, as I do appreciate this is slightly off topic. In a knife slice or a floating slice from a top 10 ATP player. Which one do think would sound the loudest? Sorry man I can't give any more hints because all I really need is a candid opinion. Thank you Beckett and WTG on landing such a big fish! Knew you could do it man, Kudos! 😎😲👍👍
@@TennCom ok thanks muchly. Makes sense, this guy definitely was cracking it a good one. Only got a glimpse, but enough to see it wasn't coming back! Smoked it as though he had done it all his life. Really remarkable speed, sinister spin a sinker stinker. It was like a mini thunder clap, no joke startlingly strong backhand. Clapped it a good one, everytime all the time, clearly a favourite shot but the most remarkable? It went straight parallel to the ALLEY (edit) over the highest part of the net cool as a cucumber. If I was able to do his shot half as fast I'd be very very happy. Well now I have to watch the show more closely, Tennis Warehouse can have very decent deals. Still chuckling at some of the cameos you and your buddy had going on in this video... HILARIOUS 🤭👋
now i'm currently using Tfight 305. and it's so great. its match with my game style but, after a few hours its kinda too heavy for me.. what another racket would you recommend : - Solinco whiteout 18x20 - Head speed Pro - Gravity Family ( MP , Tour , or Pro ) or you have another recommendation with same sensation / feel.
Have the same dilemma. Tfight is super good for me but over 1 hour my hand is just tired Based on the list seems like radical MP is the way to go but contemplating the Whiteout 18x20 or even the XTD 18x20 version. Curious if Beckett has tried the xtd. Lol spending money on rackets is fun
Amazing video man I’ve watched it like 10 times already. As a low intermediate I’m looking to transition from 100” so I still like having free power. Would the Boom Pro still be a good option even though it ranked poorly? I like stability and lots of topspin. Was considering ET and new VCore as well but the BP is like half their price right now.
Boom Pro's can come with higher swingweights which can be tougher to manage depending on your physique/technique. If you are dedicated to your improvement, the higher swingweight will help you long term in developing early preparation and having more robust footwork, but it might not be the best choice if you want to see instant results.
i think the Boom Pro is a good option! still have free power, is stable, easy to use... and it's on sale in Tennis Warehouse... i bought one and i like to play with!
Hi friend 🫡 what’s the unstrung swing weight of the vcore 98 please? I’m trying to buy one under spec on purpose and need to give them a swing weight to shoot for when picking my racquet. I only see strung numbers listed… please help 😅
call me a yonex fanboy, but the ezone deserves a better ranking in torsional stability. The twistweight is the same as Extreme Tour but the frame in the hoop is probably the thickest of all racquets in the list?
twistweights can vary a lot from sample to sample, its more than possible the ET I tried had a higher than average number, making my experience with it more favorable in that department.
im looking to get a new 98 racket and this video was very helpful. Would you recommend the solinco 98 if im looking for a really maneuverable racket with a solid feel in hand of a higher recoil weight? Im currently using a pro staff v13 97 with these specs 346 weight, 32.2 cm balance, sw 335, mgri 20.88 and recoil 165. i really like my current racket but sometimes its not as forgiving because im a flat hitter that likes to full swing. A racket that a really love is the gravity pro but dont think its maneuverable enough for me.
The recoil weight on the Whiteout isn't that higher considering its swingweight given the 32cm balance point. Finding something with a lower BP will help you get a 165+ RW without having to raise the swingweight too high. That said, the Whiteout has enough inherent stability for my game that I was able to go with a 5 points lower RW compared to my Extreme Tour and still feel more confident on returns than before while getting higher racquet head speed.
Love your channel and have used a lot of your info to assist my game. Genuinely curious. I'm a 4.0 player who uses 2 Youtek Radical IG MP's. I have tendencies for arm pain though. Just ordered a duo of Velocity MLT + Isospeed Cream to hybrid in one of them. For the other do you think I should Hybrid with MLT (cross) + Restring Zero? or just try a FB Restring Zero? Curious if you have thoughts on tensions too.
Zero feels quite soft to me personally, but I'm not totally convinced its a great remember for arm pain. IMO see if your Cream/Velocity hybrid improves your situation before proceeding
@Tenncom - how come yo have review the prince tour 98 - which came out last yr - easily one of the best 98's on the market - and finally prince have sorted out the quality control - well they did steal a guy for m head who had major direct influence on the prince tour 98
Mostly due to lack of personal interest. I honestly believe all the people who say its a great frame. I have also liked Prince's before. But for some reason it just doesn't scream "try me today" when I look at the specs and what the reviews.
Assuming I can customize the racket to specific sw, recoil weight, mgr/I and most of these have similar sw, balance, weight to begin with, should I select by string pattern, flex, beam thickness ,and geometry?
For me getting the right string pattern density is pretty important. I definitely wouldn't buy any racquets on RA alone, beam thickness is probably a better indicator on how it plays.
currently using v core pro 97 and finding it too dead and under powered. need to switch to a 98 but stuck between v core 98, e zone 98, aero 98 and blade 16x19. please help, single handed backhand.
Which 98s, if any, are suitable for a 3.5-4.0 player and are more forgiving than most 98s? Some of the ones I was thinking of are the extreme tour, pure aero 98, vcore 98, and solinco whiteout. Or are 98s simply not meant for that level and I'm better off going for the 100 square inch rackets?
Its used on tour in its previous versions. Old Blades were much stiffer and had higher swingweights so they worked perfectly for advanced players in the modern game. The consumer criticism suggested that they were a bit too unwieldy and uncomfortable for recreational play, so Wilson dropped the stiffness and the swingweight. Now, the Blade isn't the pro racquet it once was, but in my eyes, a neutered version, lacking what used to make it special.
I assume Becket has not tried the TF40, because if he had he might not be using the Whiteout. Both great racquets. Something about foam filled sticks just works for me.
I wonder if you could find a way to get some of the feel of the vcore95 with the vcore98 through strings/weight. The 98 doesn't really feel like it shares as much dna with the 95 as one would hope : /
@@TennCom I was using the 2021 95 and when the 2023 98 came out I saw how much the stiffness had gone down so I tried it out. Just couldn't get it to gel so I gave up and went to the 2023 95. It's a shame how little they share in feel
@@micah2237 In hindsight nothing, but I was looking for a bit more easy power and forgiveness without adding any stiffness. I could have stayed with it but I tried the 2023 and enjoyed the softer feel of it... plus I just like buying racquets haha
got it. i just bought three of the 2021 model ($120/racquet baby!) a month or so ago and I love 'em. added weight to 10 and 2 which increased power. do you like the 2023 model better?@@fretstain
@@rbarreira2 it would, except for the TFIGHT and AERO 98 are just as stiff while also boasting more hitting weight. Given their maneuverability though, I think the Yonex do have great forgiveness.

To be honest. After trying to get on with the pure strike 98 16x19 I found it to be the most unstable racket I’ve ever tried. Even compared to the pure drive lite. I just cant put my finger on it, but when i play with it i feel like I’m being pushed around. Well now I have to watch the show more closely, Tennis Warehouse can have very decent deals. Still chuckling at some of the cameos you and your buddy had going on in this video... HILARIOUS 🤭👋
Will you make a another video for 100 inch racquets?
now i'm currently using Tfight 305.
and it's so great.
its match with my game style
but, after a few hours its kinda too heavy for me..
what another racket would you recommend :
- Solinco whiteout 18x20
- Head speed Pro
- Gravity Family ( MP , Tour , or Pro )
or you have another recommendation with same sensation / feel.
Maybe like the Iga 298?
Have the same dilemma. Tfight is super good for me but over 1 hour my hand is just tired
Based on the list seems like radical MP is the way to go but contemplating the Whiteout 18x20 or even the XTD 18x20 version. Curious if Beckett has tried the xtd. Lol spending money on rackets is fun
@@TennCom never try it before, will be on the list 😂
thankyou for answering even i'm not pay for the racquet consultation.
Pure Aero 98 is simply amazing for me...
My man, can't believe you left off the bestest racquet Head Speed Pro :)
ah yes, the greatest 98 of all time
lmao yeah that speed pro 98 is awesome
I only see strung numbers listed… please help 😅
strings generally account for about 25-30 swingweight points
can u do a 1 handed backhand list
Hi Beckett! Wich raquet do you consider is more forgiving or has a bigger sweet spot? Aero 98 or Radical MP? Thanks!
Aero 98 not close
Radical MP
call me a yonex fanboy, but the ezone deserves a better ranking in torsional stability. The twistweight is the same as Extreme Tour but the frame in the hoop is probably the thickest of all racquets in the list?
twistweights can vary a lot from sample to sample, its more than possible the ET I tried had a higher than average number, making my experience with it more favorable in that department.
those infographics... just awesome
Where does speed mp comes in this chart even though its 100 sq in
im looking to get a new 98 racket and this video was very helpful.
What’s a cost/benefit of dwell time? I wasn’t sure if stuff or soft was better/worse.
its in the eye of the beholder
My choice is blade 98s v7 and v8
@Tenncom - how come yo have review the prince tour 98 - which came out last yr - easily one of the best 98's on the market - and finally prince have sorted out the quality control - well they did steal a guy for m head who had major direct influence on the prince tour 98
Mostly due to lack of personal interest. I honestly believe all the people who say its a great frame. I have also liked Prince's before. But for some reason it just doesn't scream "try me today" when I look at the specs and what the reviews.
What do you recommend for a white colored string for spin on a stiff racket like a pure drive?
I can't actually think of any white strings that are also shaped. The best is probably regular Head Hawk white.
good video, but I can't be agree with the blade final results
Why no clash 98? its an awesome racket
how about the pure strive vs?
Assuming I can customize the racket to specific sw, recoil weight, mgr/I and most of these have similar sw, balance, weight to begin with, should I select by string pattern, flex, beam thickness ,and geometry?
For me getting the right string pattern density is pretty important. I definitely wouldn't buy any racquets on RA alone, beam thickness is probably a better indicator on how it plays.
No Prestige Pro = No Party ! 😂
Anyway I like blade v8 18x20 more than the 16x19 … those almost 10 SW points more are everything.
Have you tried the Tfight 315? Any thoughts?
I have not
How can I get this link to work for TWE? Just copy and paste the last bit of the url? Shame they can’t provide you with a code instead. Easier to use.
good point! This should work for TWE: www.tenniswarehouse-europe.com/index.html?ref=tenncom
i had a doubt, why did u keep whiteout 16x19 so lower in your list???
just aint got the same magic
King Beckett the wise! Why do they keep making vcores red?
communist propaganda
Lol
It makes sense because communists tend to use a lot of spin @@TennCom
currently using v core pro 97 and finding it too dead and under powered. need to switch to a 98 but stuck between v core 98, e zone 98, aero 98 and blade 16x19. please help, single handed backhand.
I think the VCORE 98 would be the most natural transition for you, but lots of 1 handers seem to be liking the Blades
I have to try my old t fight 315 16/19 :)
I would look at the Aero 98 if you can get one under spec, the Radical MP and string it looser or the VCORE 98.
Has the grip shape of the radical or head racquets changed? Or is it still super oval (super big on bevel #3)?
its only like that on Prestiges now. Has been more normal for some time. Tecnifibre still uses those rectangular grips though
Genuinely curious, how come you dislike the Blade so much, but I read it’s the most used racquet on Tour?
Its used on tour in its previous versions. Old Blades were much stiffer and had higher swingweights so they worked perfectly for advanced players in the modern game. The consumer criticism suggested that they were a bit too unwieldy and uncomfortable for recreational play, so Wilson dropped the stiffness and the swingweight. Now, the Blade isn't the pro racquet it once was, but in my eyes, a neutered version, lacking what used to make it special.
Always interesting and full of humour. Great job ! 😊
But...Well, no... There is no but... 😝
Do you refer here to the T Fight ISO 305 or 315?
Chosen models for the entire test were whichever weighed closest to 305g unstrung.
How about the Tf40?
I assume Becket has not tried the TF40, because if he had he might not be using the Whiteout. Both great racquets. Something about foam filled sticks just works for me.
correct assumption
@@toemouse what version is your racket of choice?
I’ve not tried the 16M version. Currently using the 18x20 and it’s an awesome stick
@@toemouse i am using the 16m version with a leather grip, very happy with this stick
what's the name of the pink 0 vibration dampener
its just faded red, Sampras O Damp
@@TennCom thanks man it looks cool, great vid btw
We need the same for 95 racquets now :D
Where is the Regna 98?
I wonder if you could find a way to get some of the feel of the vcore95 with the vcore98 through strings/weight. The 98 doesn't really feel like it shares as much dna with the 95 as one would hope : /
i was never able to find a string setup that i was fully happy with in the 98. Probably RPM Power would get you the closest to the 95
@@TennCom I was using the 2021 95 and when the 2023 98 came out I saw how much the stiffness had gone down so I tried it out. Just couldn't get it to gel so I gave up and went to the 2023 95. It's a shame how little they share in feel
what was wrong with the 2021 95?@@fretstain
@@micah2237 In hindsight nothing, but I was looking for a bit more easy power and forgiveness without adding any stiffness. I could have stayed with it but I tried the 2023 and enjoyed the softer feel of it... plus I just like buying racquets haha
got it. i just bought three of the 2021 model ($120/racquet baby!) a month or so ago and I love 'em. added weight to 10 and 2 which increased power. do you like the 2023 model better?@@fretstain
Nice video! Now please show some love for the 100s 🙏🏼😂😂😂
Thank you so much
Make a video with 100 headsize rackets!!!!
Well... I was planning to buy Wilson Blade 16x19 in the coming days but I don't think I want it anymore xD
TennCom, saving you money since 2022 lol
prestige mp ?
Wjat to you thing about Prince axt tour 98?
i think i havent tried it yet and would like to at some point but not now
@@TennCom for the one handed backhand what do tou think that ite better? I would like to have nice light feel also
@@TennCom thank you very much! Prince has beet feedback i see many players love it but ok!
Wish I found this before I bought racquets 3 days ago
hahaha RIP
I'm surprised you ranked the Yonex racquets as the least forgiving ones, since they are usually praised for their large sweet spots and forgiveness.
lack of swingweight and twistweight means that they simply don't hold up to higher ball speeds as well as the competition
@@TennCom I see. I would have thought that the stiffness of the Ezone would compensate for that.
@@rbarreira2 it would, except for the TFIGHT and AERO 98 are just as stiff while also boasting more hitting weight. Given their maneuverability though, I think the Yonex do have great forgiveness.
do discounts apply to Tennis Express? I understand Tennis Warehouse acquired Tennis Express so they should not compete against themselves.
To my knowledge they are not affiliated. In 2021, Signa Sports acquired TE and they also own Tennis Point.

To be honest. After trying to get on with the pure strike 98 16x19 I found it to be the most unstable racket I’ve ever tried. Even compared to the pure drive lite. I just cant put my finger on it, but when i play with it i feel like I’m being pushed around. And the feel…it’s very unsettling muted and i genuinely don’t know what’s happening to the ball so its hard to feel what I’ve done wrong when the ball flies on me… overall experience. HORRID
Disagree... its the most stable and powerful 98" racquet I ve ever tried... but too muted
