3:00 - hey Trevor: as an option, maybe expensive but the exchange rate is good, any consideration to doing Ironman Cairns in June as a third ‘back up’ ironman for the year? While it has four Kona qualifying slots, and is a regional championship with a fair amount of prize money, it could also be one of the weakest - if not weakest fields on the ironman pro tour because of the travel. However, Arizona is just next door to California and there are relatively cheap and direct flights to brisbane from LAX and even though you skip a calendar day when you fly the time zone difference isn’t that great (so you could adapt to the jet lag pretty easily). Cairns would be a great way to get some ironman series points, a qualifying spot for Kona AND some prize money to make it ‘worth it’, even if you end up doing Lake Placid.

People talk about the T100 but I actually think Ironman pro series is the future of the sport. So many more pros racing in the same race. Looks at these races vs past years.

Yes I totally agree with everything you’ve said but I’m not sure if I can justify the expensive cost to get there..
