- We are leaving Harrismith today, having planned a questionable route with several 'mountain passes' through another remote area. The dirt roads start off beautifully with stunning views and lovely riding. But once we get deeper into the farmlands and starting with our first mountain passes, the roads become worse. A nice mixture of two tracks and washed away roads that seems to only be used by people on foot. The steep tracks combined with ruts and loose rocks finally gets the better of Werner and Buddy. And we are not only losing speed, we are also losing our way, having to use the knowledge of the locals to somehow get out of this maze of dirt roads!

Thank you!
Great ride. Beautiful views. Not bad I fall in 15000 ks of riding. Well done guys.
Definitely well done to Werner for not falling sooner! I (Cissy) had several already Haha
Nice video, nice ride. So Buddy took a tumble and took Werner with 😮. O I love that part of the country. Hope you get your health sorted quickly Werner 👍
Thank you Bennie!
Love your enthusiasm, guys! Having a good laugh while you guys build your skills. I have a 1290 and am also learning, so I can relate to what you guys are doing and experiencing! 💪🤪
Wow wow both of you have improved your riding skills much much. Congrats with doing a gnarly gnarly road.
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks for a very entertaining episode of your adventure-mooi groete Phillip-Niël!
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed the episode!
Very brave Werner to be riding not feeling well. Poor Buddy having a bit of a hard time, but lekker roads and beautiful area
Thank you, shame I can't blame it on Buddy. It was my poor riding skills that lacked there!! Haha! The scenery was beautiful and really a fun ride, energy was still low and concentration had to be kept. But super fun ride.
Glad you are back on the road. Great vid.
Thank you! We have run into some more problems last few days that might influence our riding… but you will see that in the next episode
Robots. It's been 40 years since I've heard them called robots - here is Australia they're called 'lights', far less imaginative. And calling them robots shows just how far automation has come since the 80's with 'robots' of today being something else altogether.
Thanks for your posting - love the banter, the views and quality camera work.
Thank you so much! Yes here in South Africa we still call them robots 😂 and I am sure it might sound strange to a lot of people
Great trip accomplished.Cheers
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
great adventures with you guys
Thank you!
What an awesome ride and teamwork, Cissy, you are doing well with your line selections, Werner, riding whilst not feeling well and keeping a good attitude is character....
Thank you for your reply! It sure was a challenging day.
Mooi gedoen...lewe my so in dat ek my bene uitskop by die slote! Ken die gevoel..😅
Haha baie dankie! Bly om te hoor jy geniet dit en kan jouself inlewe! 😁👍
Well done . Did that same ride 2 weeks ago . We went via bezuidenhouts pass . 5km 1 and half hours to do . Looking forward to the next one .
That sounds fun! Those dirt roads definitely take some time, would have loved to ride around a bit more around there.
