There's one thing I don't get . I assumed the milk man could be a killer along with the mail man . Why? Two bottles were hot meaning they sat there. The third was cold meaning he was there recently .
But why would he come back if the milkman killed him? This riddle shouldn't be over complicated, so i think he came back to deliver the milk three days in a row because he didn't know that the old man was killed

Right, if you dig up the soil and pile it up, the soil will be loose and less harden. I doubt it’s even stable so how can he stand on that pile of soil? Although I did thought it may be a possibility but I still don’t think that’s even possible in reality lol
- It shouldn't have been the mailman, since it's the Paper Boy that delivers the Newspaper! - The Two Pills Riddle was inaccurate since it stated there were (2) Pills, one was harmless and the other poisonous. The changed the parameters in the end.
It was Nicolas coz it's written in the paper - Nickel!!! Me after finding out the answer - Oookay...., so it wasn't the same method but hey, I got the right answer! X,D

Windows frozen inside indicates poor installation. I live in Wisconsin and my windows never get icy inside of my home. How is that “obvious” that was the only one I couldn’t figure out
About as "obvious" as how the poor schmuck booked for killing the chemist was the one whose name happened to coincide with the chemist's latest experiment. Because I would expect a dying chemist, having the time to write out five chemical names, chose to do so rather than just write out his killer's name in plain-text.
Ok, I'm from Florida so I have no experience with this but I always thought it would be on the outside because it's warm on the inside. Besides I've always seen people heat things up with their breath so I was very confused on this one.
Pazelloxu The "correct" answers to these so-called riddles are ridiculous. Standing on a pile of dirt is less provable than using the shovel as a means to reach the window. Dirt is unstable, the jail guards will obviously notice the huge pile of dirt being accumulated, and digging so much dirt is very arduous; yeah right!! someone without food and water is going to dig this much dirt in a dry and hot cell. It is easier to either stand on a shovel stick or dig a 5 foot tunnel by the wall in order to escape.
For number 5, I seriously just guessed. But seems I wasn’t paying very close attention before 15 seconds started. Cause I Guessed the killer to be the school principal. But. Wow. It’s as if I completely missed MID TERM TEST. Which I think I did completely miss.
There was another theory that he used to collect information of the person being left handed or right handed and gave pills to them keeping the poisonous pill to their dominant hand side
"He breathed on the iced window glass and saw Jack on the floor." Typically, when you breathe on a window, it fogs up. Hence you can't see through it and that whole riddle is now a lie.
Komo if theres warm air on the inside and its cold on the outside the warm air will cool and fog the inside face of the glass. So u cant clean it from the outside without expending a ton of energy

Amanda K because the air inside the house (near the window) gets cold and freeze. the same happen when it's cold and the air coming out from your mouth seems like "smoke": this is because the air was initially cold and then, when in contact with the outside, it freeze. maybe i'm not good at explaining, so it's better if you check it on google.
So, is it more like wet condensation or legit hard ice? Because I wouldn't think freezing ice could get inside a home, well, if the windows are kept closed anyway. But, yeah, I should google this. lol
Jack's best chance would be to A dig a little tunnel and take all the dirt and build up to the window B he uses the shovel and stand on top of it to climb out the window those are the only two things I can think of
It depends on the situation. When it's cold outside and warm inside then condensation is on the inside, but frost on the inside too because the cool glass cools the condensated water, making it ice/frost. However, when there is little snow or no and the glass is warm then the frost is on the outside because first the snow melts against the warm glass creating condensation and the freezes with a cold breeze or if the temperature goes down more.
mail man drops the paper off everyday. the last paper he got was on tuesday. the milkman continues to drop milk off everyday since that tuesday since there was 3 bottles at the scene one for each day up to friday. yet the mail man stopped delivering the paper until friday which would conclude that the killer was the mail man.
I remember when this played in my school, I was the only one who knows every answer and my whole class was amazed on how I mamaged to solve these like I was some genius.

But, also, that window is a small 4-pane window. Nobody could fit through one of those tiny squares even if the glass were completely broken out, which it wasn't. I thought that would be the obvious answer to the riddle. hmmmm
I think you should not look in the images they are providing, they asked for a reason and not what is shown there. It's only animating for a clear view of what he means
The serial killer riddle is a classic case of changing the goalposts. The point of a riddle is to make it solvable not add in a curveball that is undiscoverable.
I get annoyed sometimes with that. But I think more importantly, it helps us think outside the box which is necessary and helpful in modern society these days.
Got everything except the freezing window. I live in one of the hottest places so I don’t know anything about frozen windows. The coldest temp. We’ve had sense I was born was 45°F
I thought that the pill riddle was like Princess Bride so I thought both pills were poisoned and the killer was just immune to poison or that the killer just switched the pills without the victim knowing.

I think for two you mean condensation not ice. Ice would form on the outside while fog/condensation forms on the inside. Basic science.
It depends on the situation. When it's cold outside and warm inside then condensation is on the inside, but frost on the inside too because the cool glass cools the condensated water, making it ice/frost. However, when there is little snow or no and the glass is warm then the frost is on the outside because first the snow melts against the warm glass creating condensation and the freezes with a cold breeze or if the temperature goes down more.

In Sherlock there wasn't a cup of water just two bottles with the pills in them and i think it was because the cabby just never took the pill

Did anyone else notice something else in the second case about the stolen necklace where the police said they knew it was Mrs. Smith herself because the window was broken from the inside, not the outside. But, also, that window is a small 4-pane window. Nobody could fit through one of those tiny squares even if the glass were completely broken out, which it wasn't. I thought that would be the obvious answer to the riddle. hmmmm

The serial killer riddle is a classic case of changing the goalposts. The point of a riddle is to make it solvable not add in a curveball that is undiscoverable.
I get annoyed sometimes with that. But I think more importantly, it helps us think outside the box which is necessary and helpful in modern society these days.

Thats what I thought too. Yeah some of these riddles aren’t perfect.
Watching Law & Order: Criminal Intend, helped me solve 98% of the crime.
I thought that the pill riddle was like Princess Bride so I thought both pills were poisoned and the killer was just immune to poison or that the killer just switched the pills without the victim knowing.
