This was the dumbest drama. Yes, the FL was immature, annoying at times, and self-absorbed, but the ML allowed the little liar to hang around, put ideas in his head, never set boundries, called the wife crazy for being jealous, etc.. Then, once the FL had had enough of his indifference to her feelings, he allows the liar to steamroll him into a marriage he never asked for, a relationship he never agreed to, and to rub it in the FL face every chance she gets. He's a freaking coward and it was painful to watch such a weak man never grow a pair of balls and tell the woman he actually loves what he needed from her, and the liar to back the hell off!!
I think the chaser mistress knew when she walked in and he wasn't dressed - that he still wasn't all in. You'd think he would have been outside waiting for her to avoid any scene may happen, so maybe he wanted his 'wife' to know what was planned so she'd come clean about her feelings and claim him. She did this, and the other woman's look said she knew she was finished. A walk down memory lane for these two?! Please. He was already sitting there in his house clothes likely wondering, how in the heck am I going to get married when I know I can't and won't do it? Now, with the 'wife's' confession...bye bye, other woman. And, I think the immaturity you spoke of about FL is because he spoiled her, babied her. Their problem wasn't really the other woman, but lack of real communication. He didn't dislike doing for her but grew to want a wife who did wife things, and she failed to realize his needs from her changed so she needed to step up her game and at least learn to cook sometimes. Neither of them ever wanted anyone else. Their friend who was in love with her knew this about them. The new woman selectively ignored it. 🤔Maybe she detected he was a gentle 'spoiler' she could steamroller over... .🤷♀️ BUT, she couldn't change his feelings! No matter what he let her get away with.
