      totally agree with you man. I thought the same way but i´ve changed my mind too. From beggining almost to the end i was thinking he was overconfident cause he was saying all the time that he was the best but he has to believe in himself, that´s the point of all of that in order to win all the matches the way he did lol

      If gi bjj is going to get more funding, it needs someone that can draw viewers. Meregali is handsome, young and talented. If he can have an entertaining attitude, he'll draw viewers for the sport.

    • @jujitsuman9934

      I wouldn’t say the Gi is in its death throws. That’s kinda silly considering all the Gi champs still win the no gi tournaments with the exception of Gordon. The Gi championships are still packed with competitors and crowds. More than before. The Gi is still doing just fine. 😂 No gi has just has become more popular than it was before is all.

  • @anonymousreviewer169
    @anonymousreviewer169 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Roberto Jimenez did everything right, and if the size was somewhat similar he would've had Meregali's back from that standing berimbolo, but as you can see, size matters and significant size difference matters even more.

    • @supern0is349
      @supern0is349 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That berimbolo worked against felipe andrew who is similar size of meregali. What happened is that Roberto has lost some of his mojo (at least in the berimbolo department) because of his no gi training and Meregali is better than both of them technically. Roberto seemed hesitant and he had no idea what do once he got stuck in reverse half.

    Let's talk about Roger Gracie?
    *3 X W. champ in absolute division + 7 times on his division.
    *76 wins (62 by submissions)
    *only 7 losses and never was submitted.
