"In the forest where nobody goes, Lives a wizard that still haunts its roads, A wicked smile and staff of oak" And here I am reminded of "Six Pills", this fragment reminds me of this one person. A very nice song that refers to the one that was created 2 years ago.
Okay but can we talk about how awesome Rosendale is by referencing NOT ONLY "The Rose" by including Daisies to foreshadow the Wizard's fate, BUT ALSO referencing "Six pills" by having the demon come back after SIX years to haunt the Wizard?!!! This man is BRILLIANT!!!!
@@piperpanda6587 In the song "The rose", a Daisie is the antagonist, someone that is not as good as it may seem. Remember that he's described as "with a heart of fool's gold, and petals as white as a lie could be told". Then, later one we see that the Daisie hurt the Rose significantly. In that sense, the Wizard thinks that the demon is saving him, but the demon is not as nice as he initially seems and ends up hurting the wizard. Therefore, the use of Daisies is a nice foreshadowing.
Another masterpiece. Also, it would be interesting if the person from 6 pills was actually the wizard trying to self-medicate but because he lost his sanity, he never realised that the old man was himself. Kind of like a split personality Slightly off topic, this reminds me of Mara-struck from Honkai Starrail. An emperor wanted fame and glory so he sent his people to search for immortality. After thousands of years, they did find immortality, but living such long lives would cause them to go insane and would often cause them to mutate into monsters (known as the mara-struck) that would attack anyone in sight. Immortality also caused poverty since the population was growing too fast and civil war between those who loved immortality and those who hated it
This man writes pure art and what can we say about his beautiful voice, for God's sake it is literally as if he were reading the best book ever written in each of his songs.❤❤❤❤
Theory 1: I think, in six pills song, when the guy went to the old man(wizard) house. Neighbours said no one lived there, maybe it was because after the wizard after he turned into a monster, he wipe out the memory of him of the people knew him. But couldn't able to wipe our the memory of the narrator of six pills(the lonely prince), maybe out of his reach idk. That's why the guy in six pills can't able to find the old man again. Theory 2: I think after the wizard transformed into a monster or whatever. He would haunt the place in the forest. So when the in six pills, the main protagonist (lonely prince according to rosendale), roamed around the forest, the wizard gave him pills so he wouldn't be there, because for a depressed person, death threat won't going to show any affect. And the wizard doesn't wanted to a sin again, so he gave him pills so he'll won't be around.
I’ve been listening to this song nonstop for the last 24 hours, and it’s still blowing my mind. The lyrics and story are just incredible-every word feels so perfectly chosen. The way it all comes together, the storytelling, the music, the creativity-it’s like nothing else. It creates this amazing, fantastical vision in my mind and transports me to another world entirely. I also love how this song connects back to Six Pills. I saw someone mention in the comments that Six Pills came out two years ago, and I can't believe it. It feels like just a few months ago! Maybe because I still listen to it every now and then.
Sounds like something I could fall asleep to at the beginning, and I agree with the other comment. It does feel a little like six pills! It's quite good!
ROSENDALE YOU'RE A GENIUS!!!! The symbolism of the potion lying in a patch of DAISIES was such a brilliant to say "this is not going to end the way the main character thinks it will", oh man... I am AMAZED by this song, it completely blew my mind and I lowkey want to make art of it......
This song is super spooky, and I love the storytelling aspect of it! The way the entire song is portrayed as something out of a storybook is so enchanting! The plot twist was surprising, and getting the backstory of the wizard with the "staff of oak" was very interesting as well! Happy spooky month everyone, hope you all get lots of treats and sweets! 💖✨
You are definitely my favorite artist, I listen to your songs every day, when I'm sad and when I'm happy, thank you for creating this wonderful music 💝
You are so good with story telling in your songs- How certain thought out characters have their pasts and why they might try and do certain things like needing a test subject or having crazy ideas and how connections and chosies either heal or hurt
Oh my Gosh I was waiting for this ! 🤩✨️ What a great prequel ❤️🩹😭 the symbolism is so good ; the demon took the sanity of the wizard not because he didn't like his wife and son, but because his sanity was the only think that he really possessed. You can't give or promess about something that isn't yours, so even if his wife and son were importants to him, his own well-being was the only thing he had inside of him that made him able to enjoy those precious things in his life 🛐 That's why he lost his humanity ; because he sold his soul to the greed. And now he is so bitter about it that his only consolation comes from making others suffer like he did by taking advantage of their vulnerability, like the poor prince in Six Pills. And he's not remorseful about it because he has nothing to loose anymore.
I don't know if anyone will read this but I think this would make a great movie like several years after the wizard got transformed a group of people go into the forest and try to discover what happened and as they look around the wizard constantly attacks them but you can see several hints about what happened to him and at the end of the movie this song plays
And that my friends is the story of our lives themselves. Regardless of how much you think you know, hell comes for us all and the only way to survive is to truly get to know thyself. Your bodies and brains will be ravaged and everything you thought you were slowly ceases to be. The real wizards, I think, will learn as much as possible in order to come out the other side of it rather than succumbing to such a fate.
Hey, man! I'm a beginner poem writer and I must admit that your songs really motivate me and give me ideas. I already wrote one "Love" for Valentines day to ask my crush out, "Why A**?" which is pretty much suicidal type and I plan "Silver Prince" one! You're really amazing at composing music and I can't wait for more, never give up and I love you & your music!
i am speechless. this was an amazing song! once again, you have created a masterpiece of a song. you're amazing Rosendale! thank you for all of you wonderful creations!
I honestly think it would be awesome if you worked with someone to make official nightcore edits for your songs. You have such a large nightcore fanbase here, as that's how a lot of us (including myself) found you. Would be awesome!
This song is so beautiful, I'm obsessed fr. keep going! ❤❤ Also not to trouble you but just a little suggestion. Would it be alright if you made a song about a prince falling in love with a maid? You dont have to tho! 😊😊
I rememberd a quote from Daindreth's Assassin by Elisabeth Wheatley something about nothing good comes from making deals with demons(or something like that lol)
This is why I love your songs, you're like a modern-day bard! Each one tells a story, often with a twist at the end like in this one. The thing the guy valued most was his sanity, which is yeah scarily relatable. That's why the thought of developing Alzheimer's or Dementia terrifies me, the thought of losing my memories and my mind, I'd honestly rather die. Great job as always!
Ayo, daym I'm late to see this after the release! But ey!, the song is so good now i have another song to add on my favorite list!, keep up the goodwork!
In the woods I met a man, old as oak and staff in hand. Oh wait, that’s another song 🤫🌹
Love you guys ❤️
