Well since dragons are saurian in nature it can necessary be shown threw sexual origins because they have a cloeka like birds and lizards. So sexual dimorphism is the only way to tell.

If i had one complaint about the game it's the appearance of the dragons. They look like a mix between Gollum and featherless chickens, but i guess one thing that i like is that they are actually dragons, not wyverns like in Skyrim, Game of Thrones and The Hobbit.
I think they can get away with this here since some of these dragons are just dwarves transformed into beasts. its a different take and regardless there is always going to be someone who isnt pleased. I'm pretty happy with how they came out and the first one you actually fight is sooooo dope, this game is everything!

It is for this reason I bring this topic... this speculation up. I can hardly think of a more powerful, more heart-wrenching, or a more captivating story than one containing a tragedy such as one involving a deadly fight between a man and his son who shares his fathers flesh and blood. This possible story line could easily follow the often-used, 3-part format known better as the trilogy. Ok... so, in an attempt to help clarify the ideas bouncing around inside my cavernous, hollow, echo-producing head of mine, I will explain a little more in-depth with these following thoughts which hopefully serve to simplify and summarize... * First off, seeing Kratos finally at peace (compared to the insane cluster-fuck he went through back in Greece) as he experienced a second chance at fatherhood; A father filled from head to toe with pride and love for his son is a very welcomed sight. Yes, a fair amount of absence by Kratos is alluded to, but whether or not Kratos' absence was a result of his best attempt to protect Atreus, the interaction between the two of them was still far better than the one Kratos experienced years prior with his first child, which he was fooled into ending in the most violent way imaginable. Kratos got the chance to spend the first... what, 10 years or so, of his son's life, watching him grow up, having those inevitable special moments with him, experiencing his child's pure, selfless love and the indescribable elation of feeling whole... of feeling complete. And now, as we begin this new chapter in Kratos' life, we see that he once again has been set to task and is forced to engage all manner of grim adversaries in combat; However, this time he's not alone. Due to the enormous loss brought about by the death of their beloved Mother/Wife that they both now share and the drastic turn their lives have taken, the bond between father and son grows stronger by the minute. By the end of this journey, I'm sure that bond will have grown beyond a point neither of them could've anticipated; Grown to a point resulting in complete mutual trust, loyalty, compassion, understanding, patience, friendship and an unwavering, mutual respect for each other. * The next installment could start out with us checking back in with father and son years after the events of this first Norse-based game in the series (and hopefully the first of a new future trilogy). Atreus has reached adulthood and closely resembles his father's younger self, both in stature and attitude. With his son being fully grown, Kratos now enjoys being able to talk to Atreus man to man, and when Atreus isn't paying attention, Kratos secretly watches his son in amazement; Admiring how much he has grown and continuously filled with pride for the man his son has become. Atreus is still learning the size, scope and limits of his divine powers when Athena makes an appearance and declares war on Kratos. She is still salty over Pandora's Box being empty and the way Kratos out-smarted her by stabbing himself with the Blade of Olympus and "DE-ASSing" the area. A deadly game of "Seek and Destroy" ensues and ends with Athena being trapped either inside the belly of the World Serpent, or "between the realms", or at the center of Helheim. (Take you pick) .....Either way, you know damn well she won't remain trapped forever. Cut to a few years later (in game) and we see a period in time in which peace has once again returned to the land and has granted Kratos with a well-deserved reprieve. Those who had once inhabited the numerous small villages dotted throughout the region surrounding the home that Kratos had once shared with his wife and son had returned, and with them came fresh new faces; An entire generation born during the flood and up in the mountains that had served as shelter for those lucky enough to escape the flood. Of the roughly 500,000 returning villagers, about 30,000 of them belonged to that newest generation, and of those 30,000... there were about 700 or so beautiful young women, all of which were the same age as Atreus. Unsurprisingly, one of them had caught his eye. The feelings were mutual and after a brief courtship, Atreus had a wife, and Kratos, a daughter. * The third and final game of this Norse-based trilogy could open with Atreus' wife being 7 months pregnant. They both inform Kratos that they have already chosen a name... - Atreus: "Father, we have something we wanted to tell you." - Kratos: "What is it?" - Atreus: "Having learned the lost language of the ancient tongue that Mimir taught me, we met with the world serpent and asked what our child would be. He informed us our child is a girl. After a short discussion, we have settled on a name." - Kratos: "What have you decided on?" - Atreus: "We want to name her Calliope Faye, in honor of your first child, the half-sister I never knew, and in honor of mother." - Kratos: (Turns and faces away to hide the tear) The screen fades to black for about 10 seconds. When it fades back in, you discover that you are now playing as Atreus... and Kratos is nowhere in sight. The next day, Atreus' wife goes into preterm labor. The baby had died during the night and is still-born. To make matters worse, his wife's uterus hemorrhaged and she has lost too much blood to survive. While Atreus is focused on his wife, Athena, now free (I told you), sends an eagle to snatch the baby's lifeless body then causes the eagle to fly out over the Lake of Nine and drop her body into the depths below, preventing a proper burial. Atreus' wife is fading fast and is on the brink of death. Just before she draws her final breath, Athena enters her body and, taking control, states emphatically that Kratos is responsible for everything that had just happened. She (Athena) completely convinces Atreus that Kratos had become mad with envy and set out to destroy his happiness; That Kratos had made a deal with a powerful witch and in exchange for selling Atreus' soul to her, she in return had created a powerful spell which, once released by Kratos, would bring about everything that had just taken place. Using his wife's dying breath, she told him that only the death of his father could undo what had happened and made Atreus SWEAR to avenge the deaths of her and of their still-born child. The rest of the game is a long chase between Atreus (You) and Kratos. The final fight is an epic boss fight between you and your father and ends with you killing Kratos.
Kilroy was here good imagination, but not enough and lacks practicality. Simple enough, Kratos's death means no God of war series anymore, and there's no way to continue the journey to Egypt and somewhere (mentioned in the game) thus proves that Kratos cannot die, unless they want "gow's fan vs Atreus" in the next triology

Look guys, different cultures around the world use the word dragon to describe their own renditions of this creature as do those whom create their own fantasy worlds, you didn't create that world therefore in that fantasy world, you have no right to decide what does and does not constitute as a dragon. The definition of wyvern, (LOOK IT UP) is a goddamn 2 legged dragon, a subspecies. A german sheperd is a type of dog as a wyvern is a type of dragon. So if Alsuin is a dragon in Skyrim because in Skyrim, Alduin is their definition of dragon, THEN ALDUIN IS A GODAMN DRAGON. Btw, I love the design of dragons in this game, it is so unique!
Am I the only one that noticed during Otr that Memir suddenly somehow has both of his eyes? Clear as day, two bright golden eyes. Was this a glitch that was patched or something?
@BITCHES ONE AND ONLY I had not yet completed the game when I made that comment. I, too , have completed the game now. Valkyries and dragons included. And now know exactly why Memir had the two eyes instead of just the one in the clip. And I mean just WOW, what really can I say other than that, what an absolutely AMAZING game. What a trip of a game too, I mean that game was an absolute TRIP. Great storytelling, excellent moments of reveals of extra story information. Like the certain information about Atreus that's revealed upon finishing the story. Just a grade A game.

By the end of this journey, I'm sure that bond will have grown beyond a point neither of them could've anticipated; Grown to a point resulting in complete mutual trust, loyalty, compassion, understanding, patience, friendship and an unwavering, mutual respect for each other.
* The next installment could start out with us checking back in with father and son years after the events of this first Norse-based game in the series (and hopefully the first of a new future trilogy).
Atreus has reached adulthood and closely resembles his father's younger self, both in stature and attitude. With his son being fully grown, Kratos now enjoys being able to talk to Atreus man to man, and when Atreus isn't paying attention, Kratos secretly watches his son in amazement; Admiring how much he has grown and continuously filled with pride for the man his son has become. Atreus is still learning the size, scope and limits of his divine powers when Athena makes an appearance and declares war on Kratos. She is still salty over Pandora's Box being empty and the way Kratos out-smarted her by stabbing himself with the Blade of Olympus and "DE-ASSing" the area. A deadly game of "Seek and Destroy" ensues and ends with Athena being trapped either inside the belly of the World Serpent, or "between the realms", or at the center of Helheim. (Take you pick) .....Either way, you know damn well she won't remain trapped forever.
Cut to a few years later (in game) and we see a period in time in which peace has once again returned to the land and has granted Kratos with a well-deserved reprieve. Those who had once inhabited the numerous small villages dotted throughout the region surrounding the home that Kratos had once shared with his wife and son had returned, and with them came fresh new faces; An entire generation born during the flood and up in the mountains that had served as shelter for those lucky enough to escape the flood. Of the roughly 500,000 returning villagers, about 30,000 of them belonged to that newest generation, and of those 30,000... there were about 700 or so beautiful young women, all of which were the same age as Atreus. Unsurprisingly, one of them had caught his eye. The feelings were mutual and after a brief courtship, Atreus had a wife, and Kratos, a daughter.
* The third and final game of this Norse-based trilogy could open with Atreus' wife being 7 months pregnant. They both inform Kratos that they have already chosen a name...
- Atreus: "Father, we have something we wanted to tell you."
- Kratos: "What is it?"
- Atreus: "Having learned the lost language of the ancient tongue that Mimir taught me, we met with the world serpent and asked what our child would be. He informed us our child is a girl. After a short discussion, we have settled on a name."
- Kratos: "What have you decided on?"
- Atreus: "We want to name her Calliope Faye, in honor of your first child, the half-sister I never knew, and in honor of mother."
- Kratos: (Turns and faces away to hide the tear)
The screen fades to black for about 10 seconds. When it fades back in, you discover that you are now playing as Atreus... and Kratos is nowhere in sight.
The next day, Atreus' wife goes into preterm labor. The baby had died during the night and is still-born. To make matters worse, his wife's uterus hemorrhaged and she has lost too much blood to survive. While Atreus is focused on his wife, Athena, now free (I told you), sends an eagle to snatch the baby's lifeless body then causes the eagle to fly out over the Lake of Nine and drop her body into the depths below, preventing a proper burial. Atreus' wife is fading fast and is on the brink of death. Just before she draws her final breath, Athena enters her body and, taking control, states emphatically that Kratos is responsible for everything that had just happened. She (Athena) completely convinces Atreus that Kratos had become mad with envy and set out to destroy his happiness; That Kratos had made a deal with a powerful witch and in exchange for selling Atreus' soul to her, she in return had created a powerful spell which, once released by Kratos, would bring about everything that had just taken place. Using his wife's dying breath, she told him that only the death of his father could undo what had happened and made Atreus SWEAR to avenge the deaths of her and of their still-born child.
The rest of the game is a long chase between Atreus (You) and Kratos. The final fight is an epic boss fight between you and your father and ends with you killing Kratos.
Kilroy was here good imagination, but not enough and lacks practicality. Simple enough, Kratos's death means no God of war series anymore, and there's no way to continue the journey to Egypt and somewhere (mentioned in the game) thus proves that Kratos cannot die, unless they want "gow's fan vs Atreus" in the next triology
i like the idea, but didn't the prophecy of the Giants predict that Kratos would die while Atreus was still a child?

Look guys, different cultures around the world use the word dragon to describe their own renditions of this creature as do those whom create their own fantasy worlds, you didn't create that world therefore in that fantasy world, you have no right to decide what does and does not constitute as a dragon. The definition of wyvern, (LOOK IT UP) is a goddamn 2 legged dragon, a subspecies. A german sheperd is a type of dog as a wyvern is a type of dragon. So if Alsuin is a dragon in Skyrim because in Skyrim, Alduin is their definition of dragon, THEN ALDUIN IS A GODAMN DRAGON.

@BITCHES ONE AND ONLY I had not yet completed the game when I made that comment. I, too , have completed the game now. Valkyries and dragons included. And now know exactly why Memir had the two eyes instead of just the one in the clip. And I mean just WOW, what really can I say other than that, what an absolutely AMAZING game. What a trip of a game too, I mean that game was an absolute TRIP. Great storytelling, excellent moments of reveals of extra story information. Like the certain information about Atreus that's revealed upon finishing the story. Just a grade A game.
