In this video, you are taken on a journey from November 2017 to Version 1.5, exploring how the network expanded vastly over its time. This video is inspired by Geoff Marshall's 'Evolution of the Underground' video. All facts are checked, from my own sources from a while back, as well as SCR wiki to remind me of some dates.
Before asking, please do not flood the comments with requests to update the video to include Willowfield. I will update the video with the Willowfield extension (and better resolution) but you may have to wait a while.

I'm gonna be quite honest, I'm still fairly new and I joined in early 2020, and personally I enjoy how nice this game is, and I can't wait to see further expansions to the map.

ive been playing since the release of the game, I have a faint memory of the original gamepasses where you would spawn in a dark room and walk on colored pads to spawn trains at certain depots. I miss old SCR but after 1.0 it got way better

I've been playing SCR before the big update! Since January/February 2018!
I started playing SCR when 1.0.12 was released.
And tomorrow it’s going to be 5 years of SCR, with more than 50M visits…

Well, I used the TTS over a PowerPoint I recorded myself switching
But you can't make those animations like Geoff Marshall/Londonist Ltd, with PPT
@@londonbuses2937 I have techniques and tricks, It was me literally recording myself going through Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 slides, with the audio playing in the background

how did you make this?
I made it a little awkwardly, since I didn't have a copy of Audacity back then, and I barely knew how to use OBS Studio. The start of my audio (which was actually a video with a black screen playing in the background) srrated counting down from 30, and I was using a PowerPoint with each image on it corresponding to the correct audio (I drew all of them). As the audio played, I kept moving slides using Space or something like that. All of this was recorded over, and cropped. Hope that answers your question, if I ever remake this, I will do it a lot less awkwardly :)

That doesnt seem right. I was the 7th public person to join SCR (apart from devs) (coz my friend was a dev and he made me play it), but that was in Christmas 2017. Basically, you're either lying or you're an ex-dev.
