Thankfully my bullet journal case has five pencil straps and a pocket for some midliners.
THANK YOU WHOEVER MAKES THE CAPTIONS, I'm hard of hearing so it's hard to understand people especially when I can't see their mouths (I often lip read), and captions are a life saver. You may not see this, but I LOVE U. 😭💖

When you were struggling with the back legs, I went to go check my cats, who immediately become uncooperative
Fun fact: cats generally don't sit with their tail up. It's either laying flat behind them or wrapped around their front paws. However, standing cats' tails can be used to express emotion: tail straight up is happy, parallel to their back is wary, tail low to the ground is sad or ready to pounce
technically it’s physically impossible for a cat’s tail to go straight up while sitting. their spine would break. it isn’t able to bend at such an angle or smth
Ah this totally makes sense! A cats tail probably can't bend that close to their back
And if they move it frenetically (like dogs do when happy) it means they're angry or really excited about something

Kurotoga is most useful for writing in Japanese. Small strokes help to rotate the lead.

I recommend every beginner artists to try drawing animals (especially their pets).
Because it's a great way to improve and to understand the basic anatomy, body movements and expression.
Drawing living things from life is a great art exercise.
I draw my cats aalot need to do my dogs too tho

I am the biggest dog lover in the class and I *don't* hate them. They just don't learn. It doesn't make you a bigger dog lover if you hate other animals. I've met many cat people the same online, thinking you should hate other animals if you are a cat person. People just don't have logic over this.

As someone who started out drawing cats and then learned how to draw humans, it’s so interesting to see someone who started out with humans learning how to draw cats! At this point I could probably draw a cat in my sleep even though I’ve been drawing primarily humans longer now than cats at this point 😂
Also- just wait until you figure out about character designing cats! It’s so fun learning how to pick and choose different renderings of cat features to design distinct characters :))

That’s a new feature TH-cam is testing. I think I saw it before at some point. It automatically uses the timestamps in the description to make chapters

I know this sounds weird, but I love it when you just go ahead and erase huge areas of your pencil drawing. It encouraged me to relax about my own drawings and helped me improve so soo sooo much more in the past few weeks that I've discovered your channel than I've ever had in so long. Watching your entire process also helped me learn so much about conceptualization, and made me more conscious about composition even in my little doodle sketches. I'm so happy I found your channel, it has helped me so so much.

True artists inspire us, u do that for me , and it is amazing to watch that it is ok to learn and do what u have never done before bc this is how we learn, u make me wanna experiment like I did in the childhood when I enjoyed drawing and let my fantasy take me to the wonderland instead of staying in my comfort zone and be super scarred and self-critical about every step and giving it up all together. U go with your emotions and follow ur fantasy, it is sooo adorable to watch and results are fantastic, plus u show us the real struggle and journey that makes me think it is ok to not be perfect from the first get go

This was such a joy to watch. I have a kitty that's half Siamese, half Calico, so this really hit home. All the stuff in the box looked like a lot of fun and I really enjoy watching how you work.
Do you use a reference for drawing ur characters? If not, HOW DOES ONE DO??? You make it look so easy and pretty 😭How do u come up with characters and then translate them to the page? I struggle with that so much, especially full body characters...and my dumbass decided to study animation 😂😂😂

I have a Kuru Toga mecanical pencil like that in 0.7 and it's really nice to sketch with it, and you become even more thankful for the rotating mechanism when you use it to write😄

Honestly, if you had a podcast I would definitely listen to it. Like, just a podcast of you drawing because it’s actually really nice to listen to you while drawing. Even if you can’t see what’s going on
I really like the observations you make about new animals you're learning to draw. It's always really helpful, I think you have a good eye for noticing the ways their body parts connect that are easy to overlook, if that makes sense
