Savage Orruk Warboss was originally the Savage Orc Warboss from Fantasy. Was a beast in melee, but wasn’t very good at keeping the ladz from fighting amongst themselves. Also, the slugga on the Bone Boy is from the Beast Snagga Boyz.
Feral Orks are my personal pain. Years ago I bought very cheaply a lot of regular old fantasy "medieval" orcs models to create such rare army. When Warhammer Age of Sigmar came out in 2015, I remade them into Greenskins. Then Games Workshop killed this faction entirely. But there was even Start Collecting - Greenskins! 💚 Now I'm not really sure what to do with them. And no: "old world" is not an option due to the square bases and setting.
LOL, for basing material I just used to sweep the concrete back yard. Oh, and round about 10.32 have you not noticed the nuts and bolts on the 'fantasy orc choppa'? Nice, fun unit though a lot easier to do before they re-did fantasy orcs so that they no longer consisted of the legs/torso/arms/heads same as the old ork boyz kit. Looking forwards to seeing how they turn out.
💛💛💛 the idea behind these, mate. Look forward to seeing them painted up and storming across the table. BTW 1 little suggestion: 15:11 see if you can green-stuff a headband onto this guy...... turn him into RambOrk 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe you should pick up another Savage Orruk and stick him on a Warboss base so the boss that’s gonna lead these Boyz will tie in very well with them.
This is the pure essence of kitbash with crazy love and fantasy, these is the way dat should be play w40k, waiting for see how awesome they look painted!😊

These sculpts are a blast to paint. Lots of good detail and plenty of green! You may be in luck when old world comes out I think gw may bring back some of the old Fantasy sculpts and we can get more of those nice hats!

I'm working on a similar project with these savage orruks, also bought 20 sets of the loose ork boots from ForFun miniatures to add footwear to these guys, hopefully swapping feet for boots on these 20 boyz doesn't drive me too mad.
Do it! It's really simple. Or at least it can be. Depends how far you wanna go with it. Also, it's cheaper as these boyz are really good value compared to 40k orks.
Hey, that dental floss technique is smart, will totally copy that. Maybe a rocket on the big Un's choppa would haven been a way to tech it up without messing with the axe-head too much. Anyway, great stuff!

Hey, nice video! I am actually making a whole feral/wild ork army at the moment. I also used savage orcs from warhammer fantasy. I am currently kitbashing a bunch of grots with shieldwolf forest goblins. Love the idea.. My conversions are pretty similar to yours. This guy with the bow and the rocket is amazing, I might have to steal that idea 😂❤
@@6Stevo I decided it doesn't really matter if they look like meganobs or not. They will just be ridiculously pimped up. Had to get creative, stick some bits together and see where it takes me. It's the Ork way after all:)
I got me some savage orcs and some beast snagga boys to make me some propa lookin snake bite boys. I very much prefer the savage boys over the pinhead beast snagga gits

I have a unit of tankbusters using the spear orruks with missiles attached on the ends. Sadly not a very good unit in the rules at the moment.

I highly doubt they will bring back old kits. Old units perhaps, but they will be new kits. Most likely of a monobuild nature.

You get most of the bitz you need in the nobz and meganobz sets.

Yeah their heads are tiny. But they are great lookin' minis. And quite easy to convert/kitbash!
