Can't be more dangerous than my mate's dice rolls. I'll probably swap the turrets on them if I get any more...which I'm definitely considering looking at how much better you've done them.

I really like your plasticard sponsons, now I'm imagining a power armored ork with those mounted on their shoulders. I'm actually curious what you would build for a mostly plasticard scratch built set or Ork power armor that's only maybe 20% at most parts from your bit's box.

If any of you guys have a combat patrol and are considering this, just remember that you can take whatever spare weapons you have from your Deff Dread and slap them onto these. Also loctite sticks instantly to these tanks, so use that if you can.

The official GW range for grots in 40k is a bit limited. The killa kanz are great, I like the mek gunz but they're prohibitively expensive, and the grots themselves are OK, if a bit dated, but once you have one box you're just duplicating after that. You've got to raid AoS to keep it GW, but if you dont mind 3rd party (and I don't think you should) it opens up loads more options, especially with proxy or counts as models for normally none grot units

Your finished tanks look awesome, but I think my favorite is far and away the Tiny Russ. 6:00 The green tank is a Sherman Firefly. They had to make some proppa orky modifications to fit the larger cannon into the same turret. The grey is a french Somua, I believe. You were spot-on with the KV-2.

£85 for x4 Grot Tanks, mental. They were £60 two years ago. Solid conversions, full of character & details like orky/grotty builds should be. Perfect. Solder is a great crafting material, especially considering how malleable it is. The barrel converted into a miniature roller is genius Looking forward to you adding a few licks of paint to spruce them up even further. Will you be adding miniature banna's (Banners)?

What glue did you use for attaching everything? I know the chassis is plastic and the top shelf is metal. I’m curious because my bits keep falling off.
For gluing plastic to plastic i generally use Tamiya Cement. It melts the two plastics and causes more of a weld, but for gluing to metal it's no use whatsoever. You'll need super glue, I find a medium viscosity instead of the thin stuff. For choice I use 'MXbon mx-412' (if you can find it👍)

these are cheap rip offs of the MENG world war toon models, right? Or at least that's what I gather from looking up mine (and a reminder to get on with the other three....)
I've had a couple of the meng Toon Tanks, they are bigger than these (imo too big for grot tanks). The official scale for grot tanks is 50mm cubed, plus a bit for sticky out gubbins, and these little fellas fit perfectly (toon tanks are about 90mm long)
Everyone pretends like 3D printing will run miniature companies out of business within the next 5 years and how it is the future of the hobby, when in reality it's a nieche and will remain for quite a while. Resin is a horrible material, inferior to plastik and metal in almost every regard, even the ABS ones are way more prone to breaks than plastic. I'd say the majority of people dont have the facilities to run Resinprinters safely, they just smack the thing in a normal room in their house with no proper ventilation and just sit in the fumes. sure it doesnt kill you right away, but it is an identified health risk and nothing to be taken lightly. As you said it is a hobby in itself and takes up quite some time and investment and preparation to do it properly and commercial 3D printing also is a dead end, since it's about as expensive as buying the minis from niniature companies.
