Lots of sparkle and clarity in the sound without being bright! Rich, complex, and sonorous. A delectable listening experience is created by the Shigeru Kawai’s premium line of grand pianos !
I was hoping to find a direct comparision between an SK2 and a GX3 but have not found one. Do you have an opinion on which would be a better choice if the price were close to each other?
Even today, the K300 cost less than a U-1 and more than B3 but more an equivalent to the U-1. As you mention in another video, when are we going to see a Shigeru Kawai upright? It could be the Koichi Kawai line... I'm happy for the guy and his daughter but going from 6000$ to 40000$ is wack.
@@user-ds2yw2ct9n 30%! that's brutal my friend. I would agree that they are at best equivalent. I understand all the hype behind the K300 and it is my first choice. I love the touch and the sound. But so far Kawai hasn't produce a piano that it very much sought on the aftermarket like the U1. People complain about Yamaha being bright. Kawai are no different after 20 yrs. I never had a great experience playing on second hand Kawai upright. It's simple Yamaha U1 = Corolla. Not the most exciting thing around but very reliable.

Could you do a comparison between SK-2 and GX-2? That would be interesting.
Thanks!

as someone who's tried both, SK2 by far
In case sacrilegeous questions are allowed on the channel I wonder... does it come with the ATX or Aures option 🙂
Today I have a 20y old SK2 .... would there be a great improvment to move to a brand New SK2 ? Have there been any major improvments ?
Its newer.
Can an average tuner service a Shigeru Kawai or do most tuners not work on these great pianos?
Yes
What's the difference between SK-2L M/PEP and SK-2L ?
The bottom.

Lucky you, where I live retailers put a 30% premium on K300 over U1
