Tekken 8 was the most optimized game so far but I think the loading time would be longer once there are lot of assets to be loaded soon as they added more and more characters to their assets, so loading time as of now would likely be taken as a grain of salt. Overall Tekken 8 has better mechanics than Tekken 7 right now.
I would disagree, loading times on PS5 can actually be faster, for example, Astro Bot pre-release and with day one patch had loading times reduced almost twice. Game is far from complete, and optimization usually is at the final stages of the game, so I actually think game is gonna look a bit better and have better loading times
Have you seen loading times of doa (dead or alive)? There are but 2-4 seconds even for a ps4 game. So they could do better on the ps 5. Maybe if the game is fully realaesed
adding more characters wont slow it down, its a 1v1 in the end, it only has to load 2 characters. the best part is that they haven't even gotten to the optimization stage yet

it feels like an alternative version of tekken 7 , not really a from heaven to earth change but a nice tune up to the series plus the heat mode is a great addition to the series.

Visually Tekken8 graphics are better than T7 because its using Unreal Engine 5, T7 use UE4, also Dead or Alive 6 is similar Visual to T8 , Dead or Alive 6 was way ahead of its time !
Tekken 8 gameplay got too much lightning effects and animation effects. It just made Tekken lose Tekken vibes. And the character facial in Tekken 8 is horrible, Law and Paul looks ugly to be honest. Tekken 7 more nicer, and the gameplay in Tekken 7 also more nicer.

Nerfed laugh, nerfed taunt, nerfed mach kick, no ff3 charged combo extensions, nerfed visuals, no fullmetal limbs, no gang bandana, no military pants, rage starts with goofy ah cartoonish machine gun punches with no pushback (leroy hollywood martial arts bs) with no taunt ending, his face was fixed, but we never saw his entire face anyways all the visuals can be fixed with customization and rage art nobody will care after seeing it 100x times. But that laugh will be dearly missed
I played Tekken 8 for the first time today. It blew my tits off! It looks amazing and it has the best sound I've ever heard in a Fighting game. The hits, hitting the floor etc This game is NEXT GEN INCREDIBLE
Paul looking grimy af. But the light bounce is wrong. Look at the reflection on his coat. Then watch him crack his knuckles. As his forearm blocks the light source, the reflections should shadow entirely, but they just dim.
It's wild to say this, but Tekken 7 really aged the poorest from a graphics standpoint (only second to T1). It's missing the art direction the older games had. Tekken 8 is a phenomenal improvement.

Tekken 8 has a higher polygon count than Tekken 7, it's using Nanite. It has an optimized version of ray tracing called Lumen. No matter how many mods you apply to Tekken 7, you cannot possibly make it look as good as Tekken 8.

Some critics mentioned that the developers declared that they were building the game from scratch, but what we saw was the same game with an improvement in graphics and background, and this is normal given the current technical development. Even the characters do not seem flexible, as is the case in Mortal Kombat, but rather they appear plastic. I am not saying that the game is bad. But the negatives must be mentioned and players should not be deceived every time. Do not raise your expectations

Tekken 7FR Never looked good. Vanilla Tekken 7 looked good. We just tolerated Tekken 7 FR because of characters and gameplay. Compare it to Tekken tag 2 and Tekken 6, Tekken 7FR was a downgrade. Im glad Tekken 8 fixes it all.

They did not lie. Jin's jab actually got new animations, his df+1 specifically. Now it actually is a proper gut punch instead of a measly jab. Several attacks actually has bigger hitbox as well. Lars Heat Burst was an old animation of his DEN 1+2 named Mjollnir, except it has bigger hitbox and lower position (all Heat Burst has this properties). Also, why bother remodelling everything when some of it works just fine? Saying BamCo lying about the animation and hitbox is pretty cheap when you don't even bother to confirmed it.

U dont get chip damaged in t7 but in t8 you can and will take chip damage by certain moves like Asuka's new f3+4 and everytime u get into heat mode every attack deal cheap damage but atleast it isnt that crazy and itll prolly get some adjustment before release. go back to t7 if t8 feels like t7 to you Edit: oh yeah, you cant really do t7 combos anymore in t8. You gotta learn new optimal combos now
