  • What's up, people! I'm back with another Wham! reaction from their 1983 debut album Fantastic, and this time we listen to "Young Guns (Go for It!)", another brilliant album-ending tune. So join me as we finish off the first Wham! record. Cheers!
Also I run a Patreon featuring some extra content of different types, so anyone interested in supporting what we do on this channel through donation and getting access to reactions blocked on TH-cam, behind-the-scenes videos, video-reactions, and blooper-reels from my videos can go here: / shnootz

If you have "Last Christmas" in one of the folders, it could be part of your christmas reactions. I´m guessing many people are fed up with it but it suits this time much better than sometime in April (duh).

George & Andrew had two female friends, Pepsi & Shirlie, as back up singers. A third female member, Coke, never got along with Pepsi and left.

Please keep in mind that this album came the same year Beastie Boys started rapping.

Earliest hit and was re-released when they got more popular (I think or was that "Bad Boys" ? )
They had coordinated dance moves, leather jackets, tight cropped jeans and pumps. All very pop and camp (unintentionally).
They had this sort of 'Lad Culture" image of being tough , streetwise lads chasing skirts but never committing.
    Oh how things changed 😊

The song Wham Rap! was their first single and unfortunately did not deliver the breakthrough they had hoped for. With Young Guns and the appearance on Tops of the Pops they had success and released Wham Rap! a second time and this time with more success. The song Bad Boys was a commissioned work for the record company, who demanded more music material to further exploit the success. George was not happy about this, he wanted to go in a different musical direction.
