PLAYING AND RATING EVERY ANIMAL CROSSING GAME IN 2024

Also a bit of fact
the first release of Animal Crossing was called Dōbutsu no Mori (Animal Forest in English) for the N64 in April 14th, 2001 and it didn't have a lot of the features as the Gamecube release
Nintendo then released it again it back in Japan for the Gamecube called Dōbutsu no Mori +, which is a revamped of the original N64 (release December 14th, 2001 in Japan)
but for the finale time Nintendo released Animal Crossing again back in Japan after seeing the success of the international release of Animal Crossing, this version was call Dōbutsu no Mori e+ which had all the new features that Animal Crossing got when it realized to America and also with e-reader support (release was June 27th, 2003)

Fact check - the Nintendo e-Reader was also released in North America where you could buy the Animal Crossing cards. Think v1 of Amiibo Animal Crossing cards.
The original AC is a vastly superior (as a game) to City Folk spend more time with it if you have a Wii. Emulation will not do it justice. For example, you could connect the GBA to your GameCube and visit a new location (an island), and take the game on the go on the GBA, incredible! You could design on the GBA etc.
Most mainline games are ranked as 1. Animal Crossing: New Horizons,
2. Animal Crossing: New Leaf, 3. Animal Crossing, 4. Animal Crossing: Wild World, 5. Animal Crossing: City Folk.
As a player since the beginning, there is most to do in New Leaf and original AC,.New Horizons is of course the prettiest doll house, but there is less to do. I hope this is resolved for any future game.

thanks for the fact checks! Was kinda in a rush to make this one so I had to do it with what info I already knew since I started playing from new leaf to now I’m gonna rate new leaf in 1 always but mainly cus I’m biased lol

Something to take note of for animal crossing for the GameCube and animal crossing for the DS villagers had the most personality in the entire series. Many unique dialogue, and villagers with sometimes be rude to you instead of always saying nice things

I still play new Leaf, miss Online play to a high degree...
Pocket camp Was my first introduction to animal crossing. And it was mid...I have New horizons, but It was hyped in the beginning but I don't play much on it anymore... I love New leaf Cause it just, Stuck to me.

Watching a zoomer try to describe the boomer animal crossing/s with vague prior knowledge was kind of funny.
Animal Crossing is essentially an upgraded N64 port, so no I wouldn't say Animal Crossing was pretty good graphics for the release year, but I am fond of the style and always found it to have so much soul.
Also, legitimately getting all the NES games is a lot harder than buying them and requires a lot of play time and holiday events. Back in the day it was pretty cool visiting my friend's town and seeing NES games I never knew were in the game. Nowadays, you can probably get most of them via nook codes, which was the old way to mail items to your friends without visiting their town and allows you to still access limited time special items and a few NES games from the old AC website.

@@jev1620 I rated that game in the sense of what new stuff it brought to the game. It was basically just charging you extra for something that wasn’t even worth that much tbh, but yes I did say that 😭
