We discovered a lost chevy silverado 2500 sunk in the Tennesse River in Huntsville, Al and removed with our wrecker tow truck. After the police showed up and ran the vin we discovered the owner was still alive but never reported it stolen! Also this may be our wreckers last recovery after multiple major issues ☹️ Help us out below ⬇️

Hi, Adam and Jeremy. So this was the one that broke Big Red. Hardly surprising, considering her age plus that 'heavy-as' truck and the waterlogged trees. She did well, though. I love that not only do you give a description of the vehicle, but how many gallons of polluted water comes from these vehicles being in the water. I am glad Hunter and his posse showed up to help. Maybe carrying a chainsaw in case it is needed isn't a bad idea. I know that it seems nothing goes smoothly when you are pulling these vehicles, but it sure makes for great entertainment.

Y'all should get a block and tackle, come- along, and a tree saver strap. Tied to a tree on the other side of the tiver. Those come-along is a poor boys wench. I used them for years pulling old cars onto trailers. Poor red ,RIP.

Just think if you would have used the boat like Nug said that truck would ave been out while the sun was still up, the other reason you should have used the boat would have been navigational safety. It is always the top sides responsibility to make sure everything is set and functional before it leaves the boat.

If your witching from the side with your boom extended all the way out you might want to stabilize the boom with the other winch line or chain if both lines are being used to a hard point on the wrecker itself. And set your wheel lift down to plant your wrecker.

Adam when the boom is fully extended you only have 4000 pounds of lift retracted is 8000 to 10000 pounds that truck weighs roughly 6000 pounds the current can add another 2000 pounds
