Born and raised in Florida, and one thing I learned right off the bat was if you're going to be offroading a good winch is a must or you will end up walking. lol.
Cool recovery. I love how our off road trails look like stream beds after a good rain storm. That split shackle is pretty handy. Looks like it works well. Thanks for sharing!
That's what I'm talking about. You shine doing what you do. Still amazes me how good that little jeep does. I mean the winching part is simple. I'm talking about how good it performs off road pulling all of these much bigger trucks out. The winching part is simply knowing how to use your equipt. I run 50 ton tator and do things people can't believe. But I know how to rig and what my equipt can do. Keep it up. Great content.
I'm new to this channel and I how you explain your set up to winch out vehicles is a great positive for me. Unbelievable. Anyone who has ever rode sxs's or atvs in Osceola knows that you wouldn't take an F250 on those trails. There are trails out there where the bottom drops out and has four foot holes. Expensive lesson.
This is down the road from my house. We ride fourwheelers out there. If there is water in the ditches better be ready in the trails and have a truck well equipped with a winch that works lol. Some of these holes go from 2ft-6ft deep! I've walked 10 miles over a similar situation when i was younger😅Now we just ride atvs, sxs out here. Good recovery though man SUBSCRIBED👍!🇺🇲🎄💰

It rains cats and dogs all the time in Fla. Used to visit my Grandmother in Orlando in the Summer, you could set a clock as to when it would pour down.
It amazes me that I see so many of the HD trucks stuck in the woods…. Why do people think it’s a good idea to bring an HD diesel into such a predicament…. Even when I owned an HD truck I rarely took it deep off roads due to all the weight.. lighter is better…. Buy a side by side or a midsized truck such as the ZR2 or Gladiator… Big trucks are not going to “power through” the muck like ya think….. I love my ZR2, can go pretty much anywhere where I need to be… On a side note, love this channel and the work that you do. I live in Ocala and may run into you guys one day. Keep up the great work!
Did I see street tires on the Ford? Every ford seems to throw shafts and axles.. I've seen this all over, in a range of conditions. Anyone out there know why this happens?
Grew up in Jax and used to go 4wheelin in my buddies 84 Jeep CJ7. Warn winch and some serious Mickey Thompson mud tires. Only got really stuck once. Wish we could have called you in 1988.

Had a friend years ago that woke up one fine morning after a bender in the bed of his truck. He had figured he was too drunk to drive so he had his equally drunk friend drive. The friend went wheeling after he passed out. Well they were parked in the middle of the Puyallup River in about 5 feet of water. They walked out, called me to bring the winch. I pulled them out and he was so pissed he fired it up and drove it home. Tranny, transfer case, both axles full of water. The real kicker was the great big muddy foot prints caving in the hood and the 1500 dollar ticket for "Parking a motorized vehicle in a salmon spawning stream" that the Fish Ranger left on the dash.
Reminds me of the days we use to head into badluck prairie and see people get stuck in the swamp mud!! GOOD OLD DAYS🤘🤘 Just a shout out from a Naples boy.
I've hunted all over Osceola NF. In the rainy season, you had better know where you're going. A lot of trails, that will eat a truck, and often if you get in, there is nowhere to turn around. Osceola can get really bad if you don't know the place.
Matt, have you ever entertained the idea of developing a floatation system for lifting the vehicles, then just floating them out? Could be a money maker!
Just curious. What have you done to your jeep. Lift ,tires, battery power to run winches . What engine. What about did you need to beef up the fram to move the heavy stuff?
It has already been argued in the comments. I will say this I do not think "stock" diesels can spin up fast enough for serious off roading in mud or sand. My little Taco 4x4 has gone places F350's could not. I have a stock drive train and 33's. Just my opinion.

Either way brother if you run across a old '96 white Taco stuck in the mud... pull me out!@@AxelRamirez-g1z
Big wide tires create more resistance in deep mud though. My full bumper and winch added 300 lbs to the front of my truck which is less than half the weight added from a diesel and even 300 lbs hurt me in deep mud and sand.

@imchris5000 No substitute for weight and weight distribution though.
