- US President Joe Biden said in his State of the Union address that the American military will set up a “temporary pier” on the Gaza coast to help aid deliveries. The US has been criticised for delivering aid to Gaza while funding and assisting Israel’s war.

I have a strong feeling that the port is not actually for Gaza, but instead for Israel. 1) Israel still controls everything that goes in or comes out. 2) IOF has already started construction of a highway dividing Gaza's North from South. 3) There have been talks of building a canal where they started the highway. 4) They have already planned settlements, beachfront properties, businesses with tourist attractions in the Northern section. 5) Natural gas and oil off the coast of Gaza.
These are just the things I can think of. Our gov is not doing it for the well being of Gaza, you can count on that.
Please understand that it’s a problem with our political system that lets powerful interests _(like Israel’s populist lobby)_ outgun the will of the people or president. Consider the NRA lobby which has America in a similar headlock. Our democracy is an illusion in ways.
