Slide down in it more! You have room for your legs, so slide the seat bottom forward and lay back in it more. You'll get lower to see out the winshield. I doubt you can slide down far enough to get your shoulder below the body, but that doesn't matter. Love this thing! So will our readers on BANGshift. Thanks for doing what you do. We love it.

My thought on the steering was why not flip the wheels around (left to right), so you can move the steering a bit more forward. That would give you a bit more leg room. That thing is awesome, and you are really honoring your friend's memory. Great work! You should be proud.

This is such a cool project, really looking forward to the next video. When I first saw the body, all I could think of, was an episode of "My Classic Car". Dennis visited a guy who scratch built full function mini cars. First car he made he used old fridges for the panels. They all used Toyota running gear and motors. If I recall, they were street legal too. If you get a chance, check it out. It's here on TH-cam, just search My Classic Car mini car episode. Who knows, it may give you a spark for a new project.
You're certainly doing tour friend proud on this build. I'm sure he's looking down and smiling, probably also laughing at you for the steering mishap lol. All in all can't wait to see her sitting on the whitewalls with some nice chrome smoothie hub caps.

@@MakeItKustom it was not a mistake you were just showing a way that it would not work ,, seen the same thing happen on a go kart build ,,, they started the kart and ran into a trailer with the backwards steering .. just a thought on the steering king pins .. drill a hole in the pipe for a grease fitting .. that way it wont get stuck ,, I have a mower that the king pins get rusty and you turn the wheel and it will not turn back easy .. take it apart clean the rust and it will work another year ,,

LOVE this project and the fact you've picked up the torch and continued it from your buddy. Probably not worth the effort now since everything is finish welded but if you wanted more steering clearance you could always flip your spindles and put the tierod ends in front of the axle, that would of put the base of the column even further forwards and given it a little more cruiser angle too.

Dual outside pipes would make it appear lower, maybe smaller diameter tires to make the tire to wheel proportion look more appropriate. Absolute crazy little car. Shades of "Popular Mechanics" builds of the 40's & 50's.

It's pretty clear you had as much fun tinkering with that thing as I had watching it! Even better that it's such a special project for you.
