    Sublime. I have the Routt RSL in 55 cm, anodized Root Beer graphics, Frame, Ti Seat Post and Stem. Chris King Headset in the anodized Bourbon color. Enve G23 Gravel King SS 38mm and 3.4AR Gravel King 32mm both w/Chris King anodized Bourbon color Hubs, SRAM Red AXS 12 Disc. A handcrafted beauty that is heirloom worthy. Just ride the hell of it. Ride safe and ride often. Peace.

    It must be gratifying as a bike technician to assemble a bike that is built with such a quality, precision frame. Especially compared to a carbon frame with an ill formed press fit bottom bracket shell. Kudos for sharing this video!

      It is a very nice change of pace to work on something that simply works as it is designed. Thanks for watching.

      Some Moots models have press fit bottom brackets.

    I love Ti and steel bikes as they look so classical, but the industry need to make bikes adapted or rather customised for the size of the rider, and I dont talk about the frame angles or "reach"... Even if I as a short rider order a bike to fit my small "frame" I expect that the same bike looks the same proportion wise in a bigger size for a bigger rider. Now all the frames for big riders looks so funny and wrong...

      Nothing wrong with a Salsa - they make some pretty excellent bikes too! I rode a Warbird for a while and it was a blast. Thanks for watching and enjoy your next adventure.

    Shouldn't the crank should spin more freely then that?

    • @Rideabike
      @Rideabike  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good. After a few miles the bearings and seals will wear in and it'll be just right. I'm still riding this bike and it's been perfect.

    • @neekonsaadat2532

      That's not normal at all. It barely made one full rotation; most bottom brackets should allow at least 3 or 4 rotations right out of the box. That said, what difference does it make if you're not counting watts? I certainly don't pay that much attention.

    • @Rideabike
      @Rideabike  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@neekonsaadat2532 The large majority of bottom brackets do not free spin 3 to 4 rotations out of the box. It's ideal, but not a reality in most cases. Thanks for watching.

    • @rcg9573

      Neekon Saadat - spin test for a crank means nothing. Just the difference in bearing seals and different greases can permit one crank to apparently spin easily, while another barely makes a single rotation. And as the owner correctly stated the seals will wear in, and it will be perfect.
      If you see a company advertising its products like Ceramic Speed does where they compare their supposed superior bearings against steel bearings with spin tests in which they load the steel bearing competitor with viscous grease you pretty much know you are being sold snake oil BS. 😆

    • @rcg9573
      @rcg9573 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      On a Chris King BB with quality seals that would be perfectly normal.
