The legend says that Tony Banks himself was not so fond of playing his tune live, because of the technical difficulties (and indeed he failed sometimes, but that's life).When you see that a piano is much much easier to play than a harp, this gives an idea of the skills of this musician. Great !!!
François Cauneau I saw them play two nights in a row in 1974. The first night he nailed it, but on the second night he did stumble over the intro. Understandable as you say.
Tony Banks was/is an incredible songwriter, and he's definitely a better keyboard player than me. However, none of his parts are difficult for an accomplished keyboardist. Give them to someone like Rick Wakeman (IMO an inferior composer but certainly a superior keyboardist) or any halfway decent classical pianist and this will not be challenging. I know the harp less well than the keyboard, but from what I've seen from professional concert harp players, this is not that difficult - although the constant transposing thing certainly ups the ante. I'm very impressed by her, but it's more "impressive" than "impossible".
Well done! It is amazing to hear different versions and with different instruments of one of my all-time favorite bands. I hope to heat more from this talented artist!

dfgalvin, you're lucky to saw this great band on stage twice !! I saw them in 1978, nice memory to keep in mind !!
The problem was that Tony also had to transpose, because he could not or did not want to play a piano with 88 keys on tour.

It aint that difficult.. It is just a sequence of arppegios and simple patterns, nothing that wont come with practice routines.
