+Jamie Wilson they did, apparently. It was originally going to compete with LaFerrari/P1/918, but they decided it was too risky and cancelled, but they still built 5 of them, of which 3 were sold.

I had to stop watching... I thought it was part of the soundtrack I was getting so annoyed! now that I know it's the wipers, I'm even more irritated.

Agreed! A stripped out analog C-X75 with a v8 and some off-the-shelf bits, offered at the same price, would be a hilarious counter-argument for the new NSX.
Maybe Jag needs to start a new line of cars just for us bad guys. Call it the EJ line for Evil Jaaaaaaaaaag.

Windshield wipers squeaking on the windshield because there wasn't enough water for them to glide smoothly over the surface.
That was a space frame car meaning almost zero interior trim (look at the door, that's just a door) so you hear everything outside 😂

I wish Jaguar had the balls to build it with the original electric / gas turbine engine. There are enough millionaires in the world today to buy the whole production run. No matter how many are built.

quite strange the disposal of the paddle shift... just one side! but anyway, I'd love to have the money to buy one of these stunt cars... massive V8 + no aid systems + incredible design! perfect for track hoonigan! hehe
I like watching Dan almost as much as I like watching Jethro.
Thing is, if the c-x75 had the 5L V8 it wouldnt be special enough to compete with Ferrari, Porsche and Mclaren. If the F-type didnt exist and they put electric power with that V8, then yes it would be madly awesome!
how about that 500hp 1.6 litre they originally planned to pair with the electric motors. would be even more interesting if you ask me!
The thing is it's a 1.6L with 500hp, the 5L were stun cars, Not the car, get the facts man
honestly jaguar, just a carbon tub and body, the f type r V8 in the middle, and electric motors either for rwd or 4wd for added bhp and torque, and there you go a jaguar hypercar with mostly all things that you already have, including the design

All Bond has to do is sabotage the villain's windscreen wipers so that they squeak like crazy and the villian will eventually just commit suicide because they cannot stand the terrible squeak any longer.

I wish they had the time and access to shoot all the suspension and engineering advancements made in this car. I would love to see it on a lift. Talk about the Dogbox, I want to know everything they used.

I understand that the hypercar would be a huge outlay, of R&D, of risk, of cost, of..... everything really. But they are a premium, elite car-maker, not adverse to taking risks and making headlines - this is what makes Jaguar great. So a supercharged V8 would be a reasonable compromise, wouldn't it?
For the love of all that is good in the world please, Jaguar - I beg you - just build the fucking car will you!!!
