Love the plain jane look of the truck with tall skinny's. I've got a soft spot for those old Suburbans. They were the truck that all of my Scout Masters had back in the day. You could fit so many kids in one and still have room for gear inside. Parts are also dirt cheap for them, and everyone's got them in stock usually.
I’m interested in what you do about a headliner. The Suburbans in that era have headliners that deteriorate and hang down. In the West, that turns even a white roof into a pizza oven. A replacement from LMC is pricy. I would like to see something like hush at that will be focused on heat rather than noise. Another name for “Idiot Light” is “On-Board Autopsy”.
Right - contact Classic Industries. They not only have the headliner (in cloth) but also the thermal lining which helps to regulate the temps. Trust us on this one!

What's amazing is how much actual interior room the older ones have compared to the new trucks due to a lack of interior body cladding - it's nuts
@@hemmingsmotornews The new trucks will survive a 30 mph crash without killing it's occupants, but I get the sentiment for a more basic modern SUV.

What size covercraft car cover are you using? I'm not seeing any on their website that fit the older model suburbans.
Covercraft actually made us this amazing cover for BIG GREEN - we sent them our dimensions and they nailed it for us!
$12,500 for that truck is insane.
Stock 4th gear 1:1? 410 rear? The puppy was a good idea, should have gotten an old dog as a mascot, just to keep it interesting :)
We calculated it was a stock 3.73 rear.
