Protip: Unlocking some traits on Epic (purple) items is EXTREMELY expensive and may even be impossible. The very best traits for the very best items are in very high demand and sometimes actually sell out quickly from the Auction House. Enter: the Trait Unlock Stone. These purple stones are VERY difficult to acquire and usually come from events, the Battle Pass, and very rare drops from level 50 enemies. However, for 50 of them you can SELECTIVELY unlock whatever trait you would like on your gear. There is another strategy: fill your item up with BAD traits and then use Conversion stones to re-roll the traits to something useful. This can take a long time and consume a lot of Trait Conversion stones, but it can save you a TON of Lucent on certain items. An entire video could be made about using "useless" traits to "failstack" a powerful, in-demand Epic item before converting the traits and using the Blessing stacks to guaranteed 4/4 upgrades on the traits you want. These systems seem confusing at first, but once you get the basics down it turns out to be the least toxic item upgrade system I've seen in an Eastern MMO. Not only do upgrades NEVER fail, but you have multiple paths to upgrade items and unlock traits. Even better, you can switch items pretty easily by Transferring their upgrades (but not traits!) meaning that you can make use of upgrades that you find even if that upgrade isn't your best-in-slot item.

10/10 Video, wish I knew this sooner, feel like ive wasted so much time now as I transferred all my blues to purples with no traits. As a world of warcraft player, I just saw purple and thought, yeah thats better. The game really needs to explain this better
maxing a trait doesnt need same item. you just need the same item trait to unlock it you can use other equipment with same trait to level it. but same slot
Ive maxout my blue gears just buying the traits with Ex elusive hat. I jsut bought 2 more elusive hat traits cd reduct/ max hp and to unlock the traits i buy the cheaper type of headgear with the same traits.
On purple you can feed blue weapons with the same trait Ex. My toublek hit chance if i feed blue hit chance any type of weapon staff xbow sns etc theres a 10% chance of it succussing. if not youll stackup blessing so youll need 10pcs of blue gears to level up a trait.
Biggest mistake i made so far is investing in a purple wand after getting 1 copy drop from mobs and 2 more of the item in the abyss pouches. So i used them to trait unlock and leveled the item + transfered exp and blessing from my blue. It all seemed perfect BUT what i didnt notice is this wand had only 7m range... which may be ok for wand/melee weapon combo but i was playing staff/wand with 17m range staff and it really threw me off when i realized i need to run back and forward to apply wand spells and heals during raids 😅 now i gotta work on another weapon
Helped a lot. I am sad nobody wants to be a healer and I am trying so hard to look for videos who are focused as healers and healer builds.. but it is hard af. Everything I own is weak.. I am lvl 50 maybe 2k power..and it is shit. Thanks for video tho, I am going to save some things for traits!
Life lesson from this quality video 1. Don’t rush to purple gear 2. Maxed out blue gear 3. Learn by mistakes from maintenance blue 4. Forcing to purple gear it hurts🤣
god purple gear blows in this game, it took me 1 day to get to 50. Upon hit 50 I was still in grey-blue and the blue was purely from main story missions. I've been trying to run dungeons for the gear that meets my characters build, and after ~25 attempts I've made it to the boss room 3 times due to people constantly leaving or kicking for NO REASON, was lucky to pull a purple dagger I need, but have yet to be able to pull anything else due to egos in this game
I did this to my bis duke gs used the blessing on heavy attack the most expensive by far and fully traited the cheaper and in the same day I got the chernbog blades and I’m in the same boat again but just to get heavy attack onto the cherns is 4k lucent…..
i dont get it. i maxed all the trait rank and traits slot and level of my blue gear, but it doesn't show up in the transfert section of my purple gear. What did i miss?

@@ryanhendrickson7346 well yeh sometimes the blue weapon is not that common or farmable. A weapon for example you can trait through guils merchant easily

There’s a slight problem with blue useless traits extractions as they aren’t selling for me at all I’ve put them all for 10 lucent and 2 days after still no buys :(
I understood why to lvl blue gear to 9 before transfer but did not know you got stacks for traits on blues everyone kept saying to fully trait it but never said why
