@@ostacruiser LOL yes if you want speed on snow the tracked quad ain't it, gotta break out the sled, and I love my hot rod Arctic Cat (2018 ZR9000 ) but also love my 700 Yamaha Grizzly with the Camoplast track kit on it, I'm a pretty hardcor Yamaha guy because I raced Yamaha dirt bikes for about 14 years between 1981 and 1995, my grizzly is an old 2007 but has been pretty modified with stroker kit head work computer tuner, upgraded suspension stuff performance exaust, axles and some other goodies, it does really good on tracks.,, anyhow really get a kick out of watching you guys to the north of me in that great white north on your crazy modded Can Ams going nuts LOL.
Probably a dumb question, but why tracked quads and side by sides instead of snowmobiles? I’ve never ridden anything in the snow, tracked quad/sxs or snowmobile, so I don’t know anything about either setup. But I was curious, because it seems like snowmobiles work better than the tracked quads and side by sides in the snow. Really good content either way. Thanks for any info. 👍👍
No one can jump on a mountain sled and pilot it around the backcountry, there is a huge learning curve. Almost anyone can pilot a quad and sxs on good tracks
Have your air lines come out with the gas cap that way if you have snow and ice on the rear bumper and can't get to the air lines their protected behind the gas cap door
Airbags will help with the front end bouce on those trucks. Once the truck is leveled the front shocks are more in there "happy place" an ride a little better
I live at the beginning of the Red Creek Forest Service Road about 15 min outside Princeton on the road to Osprey Lake. Up above my place the Red Creek road leads to 400 square miles of back country with logging roads all over. Might be worth checking out the next time you are out here.@@ostacruiser
Awsome vid as always,do you run lockers in the front with tracks?I have a torq locker in my 1000 xmr with Apache 360 Ltd tracks and it’s a bugger to steer in 4x4
half pull is doing really really good. that new chase and motor and stuff seems to be working good. BUT........ Its no full pull. full pull is unstopable lol.
Such a great trip! Thank you so much for letting me pilot half pull.
I am so glad it worked so well for ya, can't wait for the next one!
@@ostacruiser totally the 700 is a hell of a unit.
I love the trip prep part of the videos, getting ready is sometimes my favorite part, I know you love being inside to prep most of your gear now.
Definitely! I love the prep as well, a heated shop to do it in is soooo nice
Wow looked like a great day. You boys & girls are living the best life!! Last jump looked painful though 🥺
My half ton Chevy came with Rancho shocks, you could tell they were valved wrong so I swapped them for Bilstien 5100, much better!
Man looked so fun!! Huge congratulations on 800,000 subs wow Osta’s that’s incredible. You deserve it for sure.
Thank you so much!
Why is snow drags with tracked machines one of the most satisfying things to watch this winter? This video was awesome!!!
Haha thanks dude. We had a blast
why does it seem like the drags are in slow motion? ,,, Oh thats becuse I am used to watching snowmobile drags.
@@looseballs1966 haha yes much different

Thanks for taking us along on the trip!

@@ostacruisergot it. That answers my question. Looks like a lot of fun! Great content as always!
Man I missed a great trip! Awesome vid dave!
You sure did Kevin. Next one bud.
Next one dude, you're going to love that 1085!!!
As always such a great time on the tracks !!!!
Next year we'll have 10ft!!
Love these videos thank you
awesome video! keep them up! if i had a rig (tracked wheeler) be awesome!
Awesome video buddy, hope y’all are doing good up there. I’m down here in Louisiana wearing a t-shirt

I think I am going to do an in cab controller, but if not then I will definitely route them to the fuel door

Awesome. Thanks and can't wait
I live in Princeton and there is about 1/2 the snow that we usually get. Strange weather year!
So glad you guys have what you have, definitely worth the trip

God I love your video skills..another epic video. Keep it up , love you guys
Thank you so much!!
Another great video!!
i love a good Osta video!
I had a flashback driving up those ramps with tracks 😂😂 the 6-by folding up the ramps 😂😂
haha, classic
Looks like a deadly video already in the first 10 seconds ❤ 😎
Great vid Dave.
Thanks buddy, hope you can make it next rip
From a Florida boy, sure looks like fun.
So cool 👊
That wasn't a drag race in the snow - this was a friggin mobile blizzard! 😁😁😁
Haha true
Nice truck!
pretty awesome!!👍
Where can I find those snow flaps you got for the front tracks?
Message Castle Motorsports here on TH-cam
What ramps are you using and what brand of tracks are you using?
Erickson ramps and Can am Apache Backcountry tracks
@ thanks for the information
Oh frickin frickin frickin good 😂
Whoooo wahooo yippeeee
Looks like a blast. What benefits do the quads have over a snowmobile?
Almost anyone can hop in or on the machine and operate it vs a mountain sled with a huge learning curve. Heat, much more utility use
Frickin cool
Curious why you didn’t have anti rotation bars mounted on the tracks?
Every single unit outthere had the full install kit with anti rotation rods and brackets
If you come to winter mega run this year you won't need tracks we got no snow in mb this year been very warm
Awsome vid as always,do you run lockers in the front with tracks?I have a torq locker in my 1000 xmr with Apache 360 Ltd tracks and it’s a bugger to steer in 4x4
We most all have the smart lok front f
Diffs but really never have to locker the front diffs
😎🙏💪🤗🏆
Thank you for sharing this
Thank you for always watching and commenting Dr. Mark
Not sure if you have a G- eny hitch. Makes a lot of difference
I'm actually planning on buying one, and I would like some feed back as well
Nice chevy truck
Do you go back to stock clutches on full pull when you run the tracks?
No we run the full STM set up, we ride in high gear 99% of the time and the clutches never miss a beat
@@ostacruiser copy that. I'm stuck with a 2019 commander 1000 that keeps blowing up lol

Agreed! lol
Only Dallas can do something like that 😂😂
Always lol
Try LPS-3 if you don’t want your stuff rusting!!!!!!
Get your self some Bill Stein shocks there a lot better then the stock shocks
someone in the crrew should invent a two truck side by side for when out running
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the sponge bob segways were a silent shout out and support to Leo.
Stay tuned, you may see more of Leo soon :) :)
That's so boring what happened to the 700 HP SandRail / SnowRail thing you had?
Get rid of the rancho’s and put bilsteins on
120 mph WTF
Kmph lol 75 mph
First dislike for freaking freaking freaking!
