I had family visiting from Texas and the little girls were so thrilled they could run and roll through the cool grass in the evening catching lightning bugs without the fear of fire ants. So glad I’ve never experienced them and so sorry for those of you who do. Be safe

We have ants like that, here in Sweden too, and when I was watering about three weeks ago I stepped in a nest, or what you call it. I didn’t notice until I started to get stung and there were big clungs, like a bee hive on the loose, hanging on several places on my legs! Now three weeks later I am still swollen and have big red areas where they were! Hate them!! Good for you to not get stung!

I just love those berms. They're so beautiful. Thank you! What variety is that maple (I believe it's a maple?) that's on your house-side berm you're standing in front of at 6:45? It's just lovely. Oh, and it's good to know you can prune those wigelas to control their habit/shape. I wasn't sure you could do that without messing them up, ha, so thank you for that info! Have a good one. 🙂

That garden is amazing!! I have too much fun checking out all of the different planting areas that you have there because it’s so diverse! Full sun, high and dry to full shade and, so so sadly too wet this season 😔😣 You are clearly just the sweetest woman, and you work so dang hard, it gives me joy to see the turn out of friends and family that jumped right in to help get things figured out after that frightening flooding that you had! I hope you know that you are appreciated both near and far for everything that you do there, and post on here 😊❤️

Morning Jenny, the berm is growing amazingly fast and beautiful. Yes the ban of the south Fire ants 🐜,they hurt. It’s crazy the things we deal with in South Carolina that we never had growing up. Fire ants, armadillos, deer, voles and moles, such is life. Your garden is so beautiful, thank you for sharing ❤

Good morning Jenny from a chilly 40° central Pa. After I take grandkids to school I will go out and see if any of my flowers needed covered, needed being the operative word, cause... not covered... I was tired, kids had a bedtime and so real life. So could be I might be missing some tender ones. And well I never got my summer annuals planted yet either and too tired to water them last evening so bad me and maybe they'll get in this weekend lol. I planted some shrubs and perrenials last week and now I am movin' some to better places. Still fun the second time around, too! Your gardens are gorgeous. Have a fabulous weekend!

Loved your comments at the end about the constant adventure of gardening... planning, moving, and even killing plants (an opportunity to do something else 😂) The artemesia in the front of the berm is stunning. I'm guessing that it is PW Silver Bullet? Your sweet CeCe helped us with that the last time we came to shop. I was looking for a different artemisia but she suggested this one. They are doing beautifully in our very sandy soil. And not on irrigation. Highly recommend for great impact.

I’m so glad you mentioned your Shasta daisies! I grew from seed and in their second year they have reached 4’ and completely crowded out my PW Little Henry sweet spire and panicle hydrangea also planted the same season. I have 4 daisy plants which I thought I had spaced properly! It is OUT OF CONTROL. I’m definitely shearing once they’ve bloomed!!!
I want to divide and move them- do I do that in the fall or next spring. I’m central Va newly zoned 7b. Thanks for all the knowledge you share; I learn so much from your all’s videos!
