Ok I just played this deck for awhile and they oozed literally every single time I played jaraxxus
Running ''Sense Demons'' in this deck is actually really good. Draws your heal guys and tutors for Jaraxxus in control mirrors.

@@dollenrm Probably run 1 sense demons and 1 extra shadowflame then. It's kinda awkward to run 2x sense demons with only 3 demons.

I think that Jaraxxus is even worse given the prevalent weapon removal for Wrenchcalibur.

I’ve been running hand mage with khadgar/power of creation combo. Even including 2 flame strike/1 pyroblast to get some extra targets for those huge tempo plays. When the deck goes off it feels unstoppable.

I have been playing something similar but with blackwald pixies to double inferno.
Ahhh classic handlock. How I've missed you. Some thought you were gone forever, but I always knew you would come back to me.
I doubt it's back. it's made many attempts to come back and all of them have failed, this one doesn't look impressive enough to make a comeback

It's alright but I like Plot Twist Warlock better.
I think plot twist would be really good in this deck, not as an infinite thing but just getting a new hand for some cards like siphon or netherr

I like how we were just coming out of cube meta. And everyone was still saying conjurers calling was bad. It's literally just cube, but faster.
Cube gets you 2 copies of a specific minion (so better for comboing), conjurer gives you 2 random minions (but you get them right away without needing another card, better for tempo). They're not the same.
@@NightKev generally you used cube for the same purpose tho: stats. And they specifically added extra taunts at 6 and also also at the mountain giant slot as well. Not the same but serve the same purpose. Many stats, very quickly. And also gaining value from destroying your own minion. They may not be the same, but it should have been apparent from the first, that the second would be good

The "3-bombs-away-from-death" argument against Jaraxxus during the first mulligan is what holds me from playing that card in general. This and the fact that everybody is playing 1-2 Weapon removals right know. Is he still worth it?
With weapon removal being everywhere, Jaraxxus isn't worth it. Burst is greatly lower now than in any past meta in recent memory, so that's a definite upside to Jaraxxus though. If Rogue gets less popular over time, Handlock could start shining.
Nordin Gimusa people have seemed to use their weapon removal before I play jaraxxus. I think it’s about excellent planning if you want to effectively use him

Jaraxxus is just really bad. It did not age well in the era of power creep.
IDK about that. His hero power is still insane and he's always been difficult to play out.
He's never been GREAT. It's too slow to be played as a value card because 15 health isn't usually enough to save you. And for the same reason, a 3/8 weapon doesn't really work well for him. The hero power is obviously amazing, but you only really see an ROI on that after a few turns. And usually after Jaraxxus is played, the game is over in 1-3 turns anyway.
In short he's always sorta been in this weird position of being really good but not quite enough to be a game-winning staple.
tbh Trump forgot how to play Jaraxxus. You only played him if you either had the board or had no other plays.
if he was like the hero cards and instead of changing your health to 15, he'd just give you 5 armor he would be a lot better

Loving this new expansion. Its like a hit of nostalgia from old deck styles but with lots of new goodies. That being said the only somewhat relevant deck I can afford is silence priest :P . Atleast my winrate is above 50% at rank 5

Minion package >>>>>>> Spell package when it comes to hand mage. Big spells are too slow and too low impact. Maybe next two sets change that as board clears come back into standard. But value decks and aggro decks are too much for 2 Blizzard and 2 Flamestrike to deal with alone.
I think rotten applebaum is my favorite card. Not enough of a threat to hard remove or silence. Typically gets its effect and trade value while people are too busy thinking of what im gonna play next.
So this deck I’ve been messing around with makes use of the lackey mechanic and the self eating minions that warlock uses, it is Aggro that can ramp up a massive hand of low cost monsters so sea giant and mountain giant can be used if needed. Can you craft together a “Junk” warlock and see if it can be improved?
I think that handlock might have better match ups vs aggro compared to big mage. unsure tho
But Trump, arch villain rafaam hard counters the annoying bombs that warrior has, what does mage have against that

i havent played hearthstone in 2 years, i have enough dust to craft 1 legendary. Zilliax seems to be the most used one, should i craft it?
Zilliax is a staple in all control decks and likely will be for the rest of the year, but I don't think it really makes or breaks decks, and it's going to rotate out next year. I'd personally rather craft something from this set that's core to a deck, like Boom, or that looks like it'll be good for two years, like Kalecgos, but if you just want something that's really solid no matter what (non-aggro) deck you're building for the rest of the year, and intend to play enough to craft more relevant stuff for after the rotation later, then Zilliax is a good choice.

At Legend ranks, Handlock won't work. Rogues that can kill as early as turn-5 without coin. They have Saps/Vendettas for the taunts and direct damage for the face. They run out of cards? They Unstable Element to draw their entire deck for more burn/removal. Maybe after a Rogue nerf this deck will work.
I was going to be SO MAD if you didn't keep that video playing when the mage played Janalai.
Ok so I just crafted a handlock deck over handmage, so I'm completely biased, but reasons handlock is better:
Shadow flame, Sunfury Protector, Omega Agent, Ancient Watcher, Ratcatcher, and Lord Jaraxxus all work very well with each other. Also no other class has the amount of board clears you can run. I mean you have Twisting Nether, Lord Godfrey, Shadow Flame, and hellfire, not even mentioning siphon which is amazing as Warlocks always can use the heals. Mage has Astromancer, Khadgar, Power of Creation, Jan'alai DragonHawk, and Khalegos, but cmon, they don't have jaraxxus, and I guess the whole point of this is that's why handlock is better.
yep handlock is better, he needed to cut the aranasi broodmother, and run a second nether. I personally ran single argus for a third taunt giver and didn't run doomsayer or ooze. I ran double spellbreaker, 1x arcane watcher, and 1x dalaran librarian for more power in the early game. Instead of doomsayer and playing passive in the early game, I was instead the beatdown in most matchups even beating up rogues. I got legend with the list too :)
Super skeptical of hand mage, I beat it pretty much every time. It's very easy to beat as long as you don't let it stick a minion and warlock is very good at clearing the board endlessly forever

Mamady Ouedraogo Godfrey is very important, Rafaam is not that necessary but it’s good vs bomb warriors and Hakkar decks. Don’t play it in any other matchups

If you play Lady in white ans then the buffed jarraxus do you have a weapon with 15 attack ?
I doubt it, as the weapon is hard-coded into the card, so when you play it you should always get the same weapon.
Oliver Mayer The weapon and health always stay 3/15 I'm pretty sure. There's no increase when you played Keleseth and had a 4/16 Jaraxxus .

Against non-bomb Control Warrior it's pretty damn good. I'm running the version that has Omega Agents and Barista Lynchen which is enough to close the game.
But yeah, this deck isn't having the greatest time against aggro. I miss Defile...
I have a heal oriented version that seems alright. Looks similar to this one but also with wandering healer.

So Baku and Genn died for more decks that can play 4/10 and 8/8 on turn 4?
Both plays involve doing nothing for your first few turns. If you're playing a zoo/token deck, you have plenty of time to develop a board on those turns. If you're a control deck, you have answers. Slow, singular minions with fat stats have never been that much of an issue unless they have some kind of synergy or lack appropriate penalty like Flamewreathed Faceless.
How did you get Umbra from Toki? It's from Un'Goro, and should have rotated out. I'm confused.

Handlock and zoolock, immortals
Handlock has been dead for at least 3 years from the original Molten nerf back at the first rotation. Zoolock is pretty eternal though; it was only garbage in 1 meta (Un'Goro).
It's the Warlock hero power. Have a lot of cards that care about hand size? Life Tap! Want to flood the board with minions? With Life Tap you can get two minions a turn!
I feel like Trump is so worried about the term "Trump Trading" that he's resisting to urge to trade, even if it's beneficial.
Went back and watched some of Trump's older videos. Trump trading is seriously painful to watch. In the old days he'd send 8 damage into 2-2s.
