With the time you spent coding the Quest creator mod, you should definitely invest some more time making both the mod and the quest handling plugin public, and sell them on an online marketplace.

About development... Use tools, considering your example a quick code that doesnt need to be clean(its for testing anyway) to check how the cutscene would look. Not that i think you didnt use something like that in later cutscene creation, but theres a lot more ways that can ease the development progress.
