Crazy that Nvidia still treats VRAM like it's made of platinum and emeralds. The biggest hurdle for the 3060ti and 3070 for longevity is the fact that they have the horsepower for 1440p but 8 gigs just isn't gonna cut it for long unless you use fsr/dlss.
Id love to see a video of you guys just building the absolute BEST deal possible. Haggle on market place, hawk ebay, hunt yard sales. Do anything you cant to save a dollar for price to performance ratio over a week
if you went to microcenter and got the 7800x3d bundle you could build exact same build for same price with the 250 buck 370 card used, i added it up it can be done same case same power supply same gpu but the 7800 x3d bundle instead

Yesterday I bought a Gaming PC with a i5-12400f & RTX 3060 OC 12gb, 16gb ram and 1TB m.2 nvme ssd for £450 which i think is a crazy cheap price, my old pc is a i3-9100f & GTX 1650 4gb and i paid £270 for that last year, i think i did good tbh
@@anonymous16472 Nvidia has better upscaling with DLSS, and real frame generation, plus you if you are a streamer the best choice is Nvidia thanks to Nvenc encoder, an all AMD setup built for streaming your gonna have a bad time. AMD is a very good option for the average gamer on a budget for sure and in a $1000 gamer build I would go with AMD.
I really like this case. Im not normally into this style of case, i prefer cases like the Montech AIR 903 MAX. Im very much into cases with features like included fan hub for both pwm and rgb, plus a button for changing color. USB type C and type A on the front. 4 argb fans, so many cases will come with 3 intake fans meaning you need buy a exhaust fan. I really like the color of the case, it looks premium.
Since you guys go to Micro Center frequently, would you mind doing a build with the current Intel bundle they have? Their bundle includes the sparkle A770 for $499! I would have to imagine it has some insane price to performance numbers, depending on what other deals they have in store!

You're getting performance in every game using 3070/3080 series cards without upscaling even @1440p/4k compared to the 4060 ti 8/16 gb 128 bit cards. If you want the comparable Intel build go i5 12th or 13th gen or i7 12700 .The Intel CPUs are going to have some good discount deals.
Just use looseless scaling if you want frame gen in any game just alittle worse in image quality but most won't notice but get double or even triple the frame rate

You’re testing Fortnite at OHD using low performance settings? My i5-12400, 1660 Ti at 1440p low textures/ MEDIUM. settings, Maxes out my165 Hz. How many people run QHD 240Hz & play Fortnite at low quality? Why not run more realistic benchmarks? FPS above 165 is of little use to most. 300 fps on 165hz is less latency. Technically yes, it is. If you need 240 or more for competitive gaming, a 3070 is unlikely to fulfill your needs.
A rx6800 or 7800xt with a 1050 budget would be a lot better imo. I just built my little brothers pc this week. Spent 1030. Got a ryzen 7600x and rx 7800xt. But I get what you’re saying with ppl who prefer nvidia. I just don’t get why ppl prefer to pay more money for less performance. Amd is the way to go for budget-mid tier. Nvidia only comes on top with their top top line 4090s and up imo
Went from a 3070ti to a 6950xt when I upgraded because I couldn't justify spending the kind of money it would have taken to upgrade that much with 40 series. Got it for less than $600 brand new. I play Fortnite at 1440p with ultra settings and average around 120 fps. My 3070ti struggled to keep it above 90 at ultra settings. Next upgrade will likely also be AMD to a 7900XT or 7900XTX. I don't care enough about Ray tracing to let it kneecap my fps anyway, so why would I pay more for Nvidia for something I don't use anyway?
3070 was the pre built GPU i was originally going to get when i was first looking at getting a pc. I ultimately built my own pc and ended up spending 1600 over that pre builts cost 😂 I love it tho.

i feel like this is a bit to much investment in to the design than the performance because I have a build that utilizes a ryzen 5 7600x and a rx 7900 gre a 750w power supply which is ranked b on the psu tier list for only £ 80 above this budget.
Where I live your prices do not add up: The 3070 = 559 Euro and a 4060 TI 16GB = 449 Euro. (hell the cheapest TI 8GB only costs 379 Euro in the store which I used to check prices) in other words here you pay less for the 4060 TI 16GB to get actually a superior card. It might be you can get the 3070 cheaper if you buy it second hand, but even the Nvidia site gives a lower MSRP on the 4060TI than the RTX3070...

3070 has same memory as 4060 ti but the memory on the 3070 is faster and it has more bandwidth, which helps with high res gaming

just built a friend of mine a pc and was able to get a 3070 founders edition from MICRO CENTER for $254.99
