According to online, the rockets rendered the tanks main gun from being used. This annoyed the crew in real world use so the crews would create a workaround to allow the main gun to be used but with limited elevation. So yeah they were designed to not allow the gun to be used when the rockets were attached but the tank crews would disable that to allow the gun to be fired too.
Hey thanks man, I dont think I am very knowledged haha, just on a surface level, dont ask me the difference between a M4 and M4A1 or M4A4 :) but I like knowing different vehicles I guess
Finally!! You've showcased the bunkers!! Albeit only for a few seconds, but thank you Sherman! This is going to be the longest 3 days of my life lmao!!! Another great video mate 👌
I would get towed guns with engineers for defensive battles and then the 76 Shermans with halftrack infantry for offensive battles switching them out before battle in the conquest campaign once I had made enough money. Although you shouldn't need a 76 until you start seeing tigers and panthers.
Definitely get the 76mm Sherman dont want the m10 dieing to arty Edit: However if the m10 leads to a m36 I would go for that. 90mm is a nasty gun and eats Panthers and Tigers for lunch
I assume this is common knowledge but today I figured out that if you aim at one spot in particular the mortars get more accurate after every subsequent round 😅
Always entertaining watching Sherm's battles in GOH (I'd never be able to do commentary & still play 🙄)! Can see that the SP 155mm packs a rather powerful punch but is of very limited help in these types of battles (too inaccurate, low rate of fire, traverse & ammo). Understand why would be more useful in batteries (multiple guns) in bigger campaign sorts of conflicts. In these battles seems a lowly 7.5-cm-leichtes Infanteriegeschütz works far better. Clearly understood why Sherm. wanted to end battles when he did, but removed chance of looting the battlefield more. Beside the money, a long barrelled Panzer IV seems best tank available. Also curious if research points are tied at all to equipment looted from the enemy (hence the low # of research points gain in these two battles) 🤔? Really appreciated lessons learned here for when I finally get around to playing it 😏! My 2 cents, I'd vote for tanks over TD's in the future. PS - Referring to a previous comment regarding colorblindness. A lot of makers of glasses for that these days. Might be a worthy investment 😉. Have friends I've know since childhood that are profoundly colorblind (couldn't see almost any letters or #'s in a World Book Encyclopedia test for it, back in the 1970's - I'm old 😶🌫) wear / like them. Important to get the right one's (to define what particular part of the color spectrum affected) I've been told (hence necessary to take test to determine what images are indistinguishable from background).
When I played conquest a while ago the research is based on mission type and difficulty when picked on the map before battles, often you have multiple choices on attack, since you initiate, but only one for defense as the enemy initiates.
so since u have great infantry u should heavily invest into medium tanks els u are done for in few battles :D since u already have very hard time defending/attacking with light tanks
@@theShermanator Okay, I noticed the icon up when running low so shouldn't be too hard. I just bought the original game during the steam sale and I have played it a bit. That danged training run is a challenge to figure out in itself or maybe I'm just not that smart...but once I got passed it I learned a lot from it and the first mission. It's for sure got a lot to learn. I'm really looking forward to this US add on but as I said, I've still got a lot to learn.
I would go with thr 76 sherman. Woveines are great but thry ars noy very surviable being open topped. I love thr wolverine but i think the Sherman 76 is a loy more suvivable. That said, given the number of points beeded, you might be better with a wolverine. The 76 wilk be needed ti hunt panthers but wolcerines wouly be great for panzer 4's and stuggs
I think the reason you are having a hard time is because early US equipment was kind of trash. You need to get to late war stuff in order to have any kind of good luck. I nean honrtly the US vs German Equipnent was realky imbalanced.
@theShermanator true I meant American armor, we had amazing firearms, no doubt. The garand and the Thompson abd the BAR and even the 1911, but the German Armor was WAY better than ours early war, I'm not sure even the Pershing ever fully caught up with the Tiger tank. Though they were a good match, I guess.

Ah cheers, so thats possible, just a lil messy then
I love the interior of the bunker having different stations to put people. Little details like that make the game so much more immersive!
Its really cool to see
"We are not here to hit the certain house, we are here to hit a postal code" I did crack at this one
I am glad someone liked it :D
Your knowledge of these vehicles is very impressive. 23:27 This was pretty cool. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Hey thanks man, I dont think I am very knowledged haha, just on a surface level, dont ask me the difference between a M4 and M4A1 or M4A4 :) but I like knowing different vehicles I guess
-M4A1 (76) -It's sexy
haha fair
Go for the 76 Sherman, it will be more versatile in the long run
That's kinda what I was thinking too, better against infantry
Finally!! You've showcased the bunkers!! Albeit only for a few seconds, but thank you Sherman! This is going to be the longest 3 days of my life lmao!!! Another great video mate 👌
Happy to help mate

im not a fan of towed guns, too vulnerable imo
What looks good about the upcoming dlc is that enemy AI aren't predictable in their attack and defense anymore. Especially for defense
Ha ive come to hate em for that, cant setup my defenses nicely lmao
Definitely get the 76mm Sherman dont want the m10 dieing to arty
Edit: However if the m10 leads to a m36 I would go for that. 90mm is a nasty gun and eats Panthers and Tigers for lunch
I ended up getting all!
super excited about this DLC! :)
Oh its worthhhhh
Love the Style and map plus the bunkers and map is really cool
Very cool fr!
Woo I'm early to a Shermanator vid!!
😎💥
Can't wait to play the DLC my self. I just don't play, because I hold my hunger for the release! I am hyped! Best WW2 game on the market!
lets gooooooooo
8 minutes ago, damn this has to be the earliest I've seen one of your videos
lets gooooo
Sherm I think you have a better chance of hitting the lottery than hitting something with that 155mm
lmao I KNOOOOW its so sad haha
I assume this is common knowledge but today I figured out that if you aim at one spot in particular the mortars get more accurate after every subsequent round 😅
I did learn that recently haha
Definetly get the Shermans
We ended up getting all of it!

Cheers bud, always appreciate your comments and support!
Go for the 76, the wolverine would be better in defence but the 76' could do a lot more then an m10
Ended up just getting all of it
The M12 might be better in the direct fire role since these things were only really brought up to the front for that purpose.
id rather not just no armor for that :(
@@theShermanator I guess you can try and outrange the other tanks but yeah.
76 Sherman. Because….come on man, it’s a 76 Sherman. 😂
haha fair

That was a good idea
Did you do a unit overview for content update 5?
I have now: th-cam.com/video/8l5xcgYqcX0/w-d-xo.html
When the troops run out of ammo will they go and resupply themselves or do you have to do it manually?
You will have to walk them to an ammo truck/crate or grab ammo off the dead/split ammo with other alive soldiers

Sherman, get the Sherman lol.
.50 cal is op and Wolverines are open top so much easier to lose.
haha I guess Sherman is a bit of a simple pick huh
Awesome
hell yeah
Does the dlc have Sherman jumbo?
Yep! And a 76 Jumbo too!
m36, absolutely wash any armour you come against
Thats a little further down the tree haha
Isn’t that after the M18? Which is after the M10
have they announced the price of the dlc? struggling to see confirmation anywhere
I dont think they ever announce pricing until day of release
how do you pause these conquest battles? is it a mod or vanilla game feature?
Its the "pause" key next to the scroll lock key, I just use vanilla GOH in these videos on Liberation, 0 mods used
@@theShermanatorok thanks
Sherman
its a great tank
Hey sherman it says theres an open beta do you know how i can access it?
the open beta to get Content Update 5 should no longer be needed, its live now, this content will be available in a few days to everyone!

I just got all of em lmao
76 Sherman all the way. at least until you can get a 90mm like the M36.
Both, I got both :D
i would get towed AT first to deal with the tanks in defence battles. for offence go with the shermans not the m10
I am not a fan of the towed guns, too weak imo
@@theShermanator cant blame u mate, who doesnt like a m10 or m36 roaming around right.
Wolverines as you dont seem to have much anti tank. Plus never see them much..
I ended up getting all of it lol
Any word on the cost of this expansion?
not until release date
@@theShermanator thanks for the 411
@@theShermanator It's on my wish list :)
And wargame red dragon when?
soon, its Liberation time for a little while still
New campaing added ?
Yeah, as part of the upcoming DLC :)

76 because..... I Say so.
I rest My case your honor

Wolverine
I got that and a Sherman later on!
