Hey Charlie, wanted to share this with you and your followers but not sure where, so I’m gonna paste this comment on a few vids, I hope you don’t mind!
I’ve watched a load of your talks and classes, I’ve bought 2 of your books, as well as watching a lot of other Lucid dream teachers. I’ve practiced reality checks for months, and tried out multiple techniques (WILD, SILD, binaural beats, meditation, etc), and have been keeping a dream journal. For months I’ve been unable to lucid dream, though I have experienced them before on random occasions, which led me to wanting to learn your techniques to LD at will.
I’ve all but given up, even my dream journal has been neglected for a while. BUT last night I stumbled upon something by accident, and was able to lucid dream at will several times over the night!
The technique? Music! I was having trouble sleeping, and decided to put my headphones on and listen to some piano music (I play piano and find the music relaxing). Suddenly I was on holiday with my family in a lodge, and we were trying to talk but the music playing through the speakers was too loud, I tried to turn it down. Nothing happened. I told everyone to turn off their phones/devices, still the music played. I went outside alone, in the dark of night, and still the music played. Then I realized - I am in a dream. I lifted up, and began to fly!... and my dream destabilized and I woke. All of your lessons about relaxing your mind and staying grounded within the dream came back to me, so I went back to sleep, repeating the mantra “tonight I will remember my dreams”.
I dreamed I was wearing headphones with music, and tried to take them off, but the headphones were gone. The music still played...... I am in a dream. This time I was able to stay within the dream for a lot longer, and I knew my body needed to, ahem, relieve itself, and I was able to actually wake myself up to go to the bathrooom. I got back into bed, repeating the mantra, music playing, and within minutes I reentered the same dream.
I am going to be trying this technique a LOT going forward, and up til now I’ve not seen/heard a lucid dream teacher talk about using music (other than binaural beats), so I hope this helps anyone reading this, and I hope it can give you Charlie another avenue to explore during your lessons.
Thanks for reading! P.S. if you haven’t bought this mans book, I recommend it! I bought the audiobook versions and learnt so much in such a short time!

The 6 yogas are amazing...actually the whole of Hinayana, Mahayana and Tantrayana are amazing. Wonderful teaching= I practice Guru yoga meditation with a Rinpoche, but this is nice to know as I often have dharma dreams (dream yoga)- packed with loads of lessons about life and liberation, some teaching me about my remaining obstacles to full liberation. Such a great yoga! Thank you for this!

I do believe in astral projection. Everytime I get a sleep paralysis I astral project. But ap through lucid dreams my thought are different. How do you know that it'a not just you astral projecting in your lucid dream or if you really are aping in real life?`!
