I just took mine to a vet and she didn’t do all that, she just have her assistance pick my tortoise up and look at my tortoise and that’s it. Where can I find a vet like this?

Im no professional, but I have a Russian tortoise and if you live in the Mojave Desert you should know putting then in the desert isn't good because they aren't raised in the wild. And crows are an invasive species which kill tortoise in the desert. You shouldn't put them in the wild, it's captive raised

Hello, is there a recommendation on what to do with my juvenile tortoise’s eyes? They a little puffy and clear white 😫😫 He was given to me by someone! I am registered in the tortoise group! I been doing the necessary changes for the baby... Any suggestions are welcome! 🙏🙏🙏
i have the same desert toroise male and sometimes in stool theres watery(diarhea) should i concern about it or goes on its own cause been 2 days like that now he is okey and i dont know if theres vomit or not but sometimes its whitish snd transparent is this from usine or he really throws up things please help
My uncle found a dessert tortoise it’s not a baby like super small but it isn’t big ether and I can afford tjj ok go to get an I have no idea what type of turtle it is anyone can help me out
I have 2 desert tortoises and neither one was caught in the wild. They came from a rescue that hatched a clutch of eggs. Also the parents of my 2 were not taken from the desert.
a lot of desert tortoises such as Sulcata that sold in the market already captive breed, i mean in the US alone there is a lot of tortoise farm that does desert tortoises breeding. You can check out some of them on youtube. go do your research
And mine was found within the city, so we registered with the Desert Tortoise Foundation and we can keep him. They have a foster program that lets families keep tortoises for safe shelter to help preserve the species. And judging from his behavior, he actually seems trained towards a house (still poops around but he knows how to get our attention to go outside). So oftentimes these tortoises are housed to help foundations trying to restore the population.

Our vet check up didn't do anything like this when checking on our little guy. Seems difficult to find a good reptile vet in my area of the UK. :(

If I had to guess, Id say around 5 plus years old. They are heavier than they look also so hard to tell.
hrdkndy he’s probably about 10 yeas old or more, these tortoises don’t grow too fast, that’s about how big they get.

My friend gave me a small turtle but I don't know what species is!! It has small black dots on its back. Maybe it's a sulcata but I'm not sure.
