    Here's an alternative - make everything as thin as you want ( about a quarter of an inch) smooth it off (thickness planer, thickness sander, belt sander whatever) then glue pieces on either side to form the handle. Round over and shape handle after glue dries. No olive oil, or any other cooking oil that could go "off". Use mineral oil - the approved for food contact oil.

    Interesting setup to do the edge bevel. As a fellow Shopsmith user I'd love to see a bit more info on that setup.

    Olive Oil????
    Food base oil the will spoil! Polymerized linseed oil or plain food grade mineral oil should have been used

      Food based mineral oil would have been ideal. Just like we put on butcher blocks.
      That olive oil is going to become rancid and impart a nasty flavor on his pizza

    minimum size pizza stone and peel should be 16in or the maximum your oven can take , nice Pizza Peel btw

      I suggest titebond 3. Water resistant :)
