Loved your pasta cooking video! Your jokes are great, and when you asked Alexa to do something, our Alexa responded. It was hysterical! Apple was very well behaved, but I was concerned of that large sharp knife by her! The dish would not be my choice with the anchovies and capers, but it did look delicious! Glad u enjoyed it! Sue

I make this all the time! I use a tin of tuna though instead of anchovies. I also use an onion with the garlic and chili first. I also add fresh parsley and some basil just like my regular sugo.
@@chaskat35 Don’t forget how Puttanesca originated! 😂 the ladies needed something quick to whip up together for their duties, so legend has it Puttanesca was born!!!! 😂😂
This is a great series and video! Love Apple, she reminds me of my Jack, he looks very similar and would probably be the better cooking companion out of my two. Don't know if I would trust my Jake (the blenheim) for the same reason lol. Jack doesn't mind standing on chairs, but I would probably have to train him not to try and sneak a bite out of things.
lol I thought you were cooking pasta for the cavaliers… but then I saw the garlic. Sometimes, when I make pasta, I will give some to my cavalier, but I give her gluten free plain pasta, with plain meat balls. She would love it.

Grazie - Lo prendo come un grandissimo complimento. Ho sempre considerato la cucina italiana la migliore al mondo. Questo piatto è uno dei miei preferiti, ma mia madre, essendo calabrese, non mi ha insegnato nulla a riguardo, come ha fatto con il mio Aglio e Olio. Ho dovuto provare varie ricette che ho letto e apportare modifiche per adattarle al mio gusto.

I thought that was a great translation of puttanesca. I was visiting my fiance's nonna in Italy when she told me the origin of the word. I thought she was making up a story to see if I'd believe it. Oh my 😂

While you are in Rome, if you want a real "splurge" dinner, go to Antica Pesa in the Trastevere area. It will set you back quite a bit, but it's a very upscale place frequented by celebrities, and I consider the food and the experience to be truly memorable. I had Caccio e Pepe there, and I would do my own version on Cooking With The Cavaliers, except that I can't come close to duplicating the creamy texture and rich flavor that place manages to get from a few simple ingredients.

You can certainly make it without the anchovies, and it still has almost the same qualities.

It's a small, portable grooming table, so it has a non-slip surface, and it just happens to be exactly the right height.
