    Thank you FPA and Drs Sekula and Zak for this presentation. I wish Dr. Sekula was still here in Pittsburgh with us. When I was first diagnosed over a decade ago now I was recommended to just stay on medications and avoid surgery consultation. Boy do I regret not seeing Dr. Sekula here when I could have and before years of medications. Now, it's difficult to discern who to consult with in our health systems.

    They now use classical Trigeminal neuralgia with continuous facial pain term instead of atypical trigeminal nerulagia

    I have severe facial pain from a slip and fall over 30 years ago. It never goes away...the Dr's do not think it is TN...they said there might be a blood test to further investigate my problem, do you know the name of a blood test that might help me?

    What about vascular compression in person and have constant pain only from 2-3 years but no sharp pain?? Is it tn or not or pre tn
