The only thing other than the slight blurriness in text is in this video there seems to be a slight smoothness issue. A device like this is hopefully meant for things like the Switch and those with older consoles that want to record, since many games did have 60fps gameplay. so that will be something to keep in mind.
@hellasaint2570 I found one way that helped me in the past with these capture cards, is to buy a hdmi splitter. Then connect your console of choice or pc to the splitter (in) then connect one of the splitter out to the capture card and the other out to the monitor or tv you are playing on. Connect the capture card up like normal to the device your are recording from. Its not elegant but it works. Hope it helps.

Could this have a dual function as a means to send my video signal to a laptop or any device that has a "USB camera" app and allow that device to screen record as well? One method is simply using a HDMI capture with a USB C and if you download a specific app, you can then view the content on the secondary device. I have two old laptops and I'm not sure they'd even have a way to stream/capture lol
I actually just want to play on my PC monitor while listening to my friends on Discord via the same headset. Do I really need obs? or can I just connect and start playing by listening to the discord channel and the game?
Np and yes if you connect it to your laptop then use OBS while connecting your ps5 via HDMI in then run the HDMI out of the capture card to your monitor for yourself. It will work, tested for my Xbox, switch, and ps3.

@@arunc5163 if the price is anything to go by, that should say a few things. the uploader didn't mention anything about audio, but i always tell people, be careful about buying cheap things. because often times you get what you pay for, but sometimes going the more expensive route isn't always good either. because you can get things HDTC block, the cheaper options don't often have copyright protection, but it's usually other things you have to worry about. When you stream, you usually won't be getting the max quality anyway since you only use 6000 bitrate for streaming. While getting a high-quality 1080p video needs around 12,000 through 15,000 bitrate.

yea, i think it might be because he was recording in 4K which the capture card only supports 30 fps at that resolution
felt the cheaper capture card had less blur when capture your arms moving compared to the elgato
