  • View from the cockpit (jumpseat behind the Captain) of a B747-400 take-off from PHNL (Daniel K. Inouye International Airport), Honolulu, HI. We took off from RWY 8R and made an immediate right turn after departure giving views of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki.

Those engine running up sound so cool, either GE, P&W, or RR.

@@Mike5890Aviation On Qantas 747-200s,the Rolls-Royce RB-211 524 D engine was an awesome sound on take off roll.I flew on two of those 747's back in the 1990's with Qantas, the 200 series and the 300 series.Long take off roll from PPT going back to LAX too and those engines were humming. It took nearly a minute to take off. Those were the days of awesome air travels around the World.I miss them.

I have this cassette tape recording I made of the take off roll of Qantas #103 going back to LAX from PPT in September 1991. I listen to it every now and then and it still gives me "goosebumps" listening to those four very powerful engines as we climbed out of Papeete towards Los Angeles.Probably the best flight I ever had on a 747.I'll never forget it.

We were flying to Sydney (YSSY). We landed there at around 8pm local time and so I wasn't able to get a good landing video since I was just using a cellphone, otherwise I would've posted that as well.

patrick0591 Patrick you are so lucky I've been waiting 47 years to take a 747 to Hawaii or just to flying one

That's the way all Airbus jets sound - really miss the 747!

Disappointing video. No voices from the cockpit. Just simulated sound. No V1, rotate, gear up etc.... When folks put up videos without verifying what is in the video it damages those who put up REAL videos with the proper events......
